Jenneice, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The name KyLUX Skin, was such a hard name for me to come up with when I first began my business venture. I wanted to represent my business with a name that was catchy, meaningful to me but still represented the main focus of my company. I decided to become an entrepreneur after having my daughter, whose name is Kylie. I wanted to incorporate her name a little into my business’s name so I used the first two letters of her name, which is Ky. Then I knew I wanted to go with something catchy and cute so I used LUX which is short for luxury. I added the word skin because that is the main thing that my company will be representing. KyLUX Skin was at first KyLUX Collections because I was selling hair, clothes and purses. I then changed it to KyLUX Skin & Ko. when I realized that I wanted to become an esthetician. Just this year is when I decided that I wanted to drop the ending of the name and just go with KyLUX Skin because I am very passionate about helping others with their skin and I wanted skin care to become my only focus.

Hello, my name is Jenneice and I am the owner of KyLUX Skin. I am a licensed esthetician and I am very passionate about my work and my skin care products that I create. What motivated me the most to become an entrepreneur was that I wanted to be able to be abundant and financially free while doing what I love the most. Becoming an esthetician was the best decision ever. I love being able to continue to build women’s and men’s confidence by helping them with their skin care needs. The best results at the end of the service is not all about just getting my client’s money. It is about seeing the excitement and my client’s reaction to how their skin looks and feels after their service. The services I provide are facials, vajacials and waxing. Soon, I will be offering yoni steam services as well. I also sell 100 percent natural skin care products that I create. The products include lip scrubs, whipped sugar scrubs, regular sugar scrubs, serums, yoni wash, tumeric soap, body butters and cleansers. I have had great reviews on my products on how they have helped clear up acne, dark spots and have helped with dry skin. What sets me apart from others is my passion, drive and consistency. I treat each client as if I am just starting out every time. I make sure I am on time for their appointment and I make sure that I service them to my fullest potential. No matter what I always remain professional. I am the most proud of having returning clients. That is the best feeling.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele would be consistently posting on social media platforms. Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok are the main platforms that I used to grow my clientele. Marketing is the number one thing when building clientele. Posting catchy phrases or getting together a nice flyer are ways to catch potential clients eyes.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think what helped me build my reputation within my market is my work. My clients have seen real results because of my services and products that I provide. Even when I post my before and after pictures of a service on social media it speaks volumes because you can actually see results.
