We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jenna McGinnis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jenna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
Currently, the Retail industry is witnessing significant trends driven by the dynamic interaction between brands, products, social media, and AI’s influence on consumer behavior. This fusion has revolutionized how we shop, offering instant gratification and disrupting traditional purchasing channels. Gone are the days of waiting for monthly magazines to dictate our fashion choices or product preferences. Now, we’re bombarded with consumerism round the clock, tailored to our every whim, thanks to smart devices and targeted advertising.
Amidst this shift, there are both positive and negative consequences. However, I choose to focus on the positive, leveraging this heightened consumer awareness to support authentic brands and help them adapt to evolving retail dynamics. These brands build loyal communities around shared values, including environmental consciousness.
The democratization of social platforms has made it easier than ever to start a business and foster transparency in communication. This allows voices of all sizes to be heard, driving positive changes in product transparency and purpose-driven marketing. By supporting products aligned with health, wellness, and sustainability, we pave the way for a better world for future generations.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My business partner and founder of T Bazi, Nina Hajian created a beauty line that launched online in Fall 2023. Drawing inspiration from the beauty of her Iranian heritage, she crafted a line of all-natural products rooted in ancient traditions.
Our mission goes beyond skincare – it’s about empowering you to embrace your true self. We’re here to boost your confidence and provide comfort in your own skin.
At T Bazi, our goal is to inspire self-love, self-expression, and cultivate a community that celebrates individuality and inclusivity. We believe in fostering connections and embracing the uniqueness of each person.
The name T Bazi, translating to ‘T Party’ in Farsi, reflects our cultural connection to tea. More than just a beverage, tea is a symbol of sharing and connection. My aspiration is that using our products becomes a soul-nourishing act of self-care, just like the warmth of sharing tea with loved ones.
Serve yourself Premium Botanicals, designed to nourish and enhance your skin’s natural beauty. With T Bazi, we invite you on a journey of self-discovery and celebration.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Nina and I met on St. Patrick’s Day, and as luck would have it in my culture — it was meant to be. We share the same philosophy in life and the importance of living out your dreams to the fullest potential.
She inspired me to take a leap of faith and join her in building a unique brand of ancient wisdom that helps heal and promotes self love.
I founded my own company with a mission to champion and nurture
individuals, brands, and businesses with exceptional growth potential.
My innate intuition has been a valuable asset throughout my career, and now, I am
deeply committed to fueling meaningful growth opportunities by harnessing the power of insight and knowledge.
My focus is on guiding emerging brands and innovative concepts to success in an ever-evolving industry. Recently, I’ve been attracting like-minded entrepreneurial spirits, and I believe that in today’s tech-driven world, we have an unprecedented opportunity to propel our businesses to their maximum potential.
Nina and I put our whole hearts into this Brand and we’re honored to be a part of this journey of finding our own self-expression and helping you be more YOU.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I’ve worked in the retail industry since 2001, working my way from sales associate on the department store floor, to Clinique consultant, to Assistant Buyer, Associate Buyer, Planner, Buyer, etc…. you know the path if you’ve worked in any traditional corporate office for a retailer in the early 2000s. I was always interested in the new technology and piloted the new software knowing there’s easier ways than how we were placing orders, allocating to stores, and the biggest one of all, using the world wide web to service our customers. Witnessing a major shift in consumer behavior drove my passion of staying well-rounded in all the digital improvements and being the trail-blazer for new roles and hybrid positions that were created for this change. One of my greatest bosses told me if you want to be successful in this business, be comfortable with change. Best advice I’ve gotten yet.
My strength adapting to technology mixed with the ability to connect with people easily, I was able to quickly move up the ladder by establishing trust with leadership and gratitude from co-workers that saw my potential. With that, I gave above and beyond customer service to the vendor world, seeing how poorly some were treated by hot-headed seniors at the time. This allowed me to network well with all all levels and create value in my day to day operations.
With every position and company I moved to, I used this formula to my benefit and created meaningful, loyal relationships that I could use at a moment’s notice for help. It’s the pay it forward method in that if you are always willing to help someone out, they will more so than not be there when you need them.
