Jenn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What was your school or training experience like? Share an anecdote or two that you feel illustrate important aspects or the overall nature of your schooling/training experience.
Much of my time in training was spent collaborating with an experienced team to truly understand the intuitive nature of this work. It was through this collective exploration that I came to appreciate how breathwork goes beyond technique; it taps into the deep, personal spaces of the mind, body, and spirit. This process expanded my own personal growth, encouraging me to lean into the subtle, powerful connections between the breath, the nervous system, and emotional regulation. I began to see how breathwork can guide individuals from all walks of life to access their inner strength and resilience, helping them feel more balanced, grounded, and connected to life.
One of the most profound part of my training was the extensive practicum work with transformational journeys, which led me to deepen my understanding of how to navigate and support others on their healing journeys. Through this deep dive, I strengthened my connection to body, mind, and soul and now feel empowered by learning how breath is the bridge that connects them. A key focus was nervous system regulation—a scientifically-backed process that breathwork can influence in real time. With the guidance of an experienced practitioner, it’s a skill that’s easy to learn and integrate into daily life so that it can have an immediate impact. For those seeking to elevate their mental and physical well-being, breathwork is a powerful tool for healing and balance.
Jenn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My professional journey kicked off in finance where my competitive athletic drive fueled my ambition. However, I eventually realized that this high-pressure environment didn’t align with my true calling. My body began to take on the effects from chronic stress, yet I never could clearly identify exactly what I was suffering from.
I eventually took a leap and launched into the world of fitness and wellness, and it felt like home. Becoming a master barre instructor ignited my passion for the mind-body connection and helping others embody it. Over the years, I’ve empowered many to unlock their inner strength and resilience along this path. And today, I’m on a mission to help others claim their highest version of themselves through the most potent pillar of health, breathwork.
My own long-standing struggles with depression and limiting beliefs led me to discover breathwork which has become a powerful tool for making sense of the deep-rooted emotional and physical challenges I wrestled with all of my life. This healing modality has not only brought me healing but also has reframed how I experience the world and my relationships, fostering deeper connections and greater fulfillment.
As a breathwork coach and at the core of it, I work with individuals who often struggle with self-trust, overthinking, and second-guessing their decisions. Many also face a dysregulated nervous system, feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally unsettled—even when things seem fine on the outside. This can also show up as disregulated breathing patterns such as high chest breathing, mouth breathing, constant sighing or yawning. Often there’s an unrecognized longing for self-love and acceptance, but long-standing self judgment or conditioning holds them back from fully embracing their worth. These challenges leave them feeling disconnected from themselves, even while they excel in other areas of life. All of this to say, if one is emotionally suffering, the breath will very likely be disregulated.
Through 1:1 sessions, group session work, and engaging workshops, I help people unlock the power of their breath and nervous system, and understand how it can transform their lives. These sessions are an effective way to explore how breathwork can calm your nervous system, clear mental fog, and create a new path toward a life that feels aligned with who you truly are. My signature program, The Breath Shift, is a curated 1:1, 12-session journey that blends nervous system regulation with deep self-awareness through tailored somatic exercises, reflection, and journaling, as well as transformational breathwork journeys. It’s designed to shift you out of fear, resistance, and old patterns, empowering you to take clear, embodied action toward a higher version of yourself with sustainable somatic tools.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I spent a few years in real estate, pouring everything into it—time, energy, hope—waiting for that big financial break. Even when I had wins, something always felt off deep in my body. Deep down, I knew it wasn’t right, but I ignored that intuitive gut feeling and pushed through. The pressure, imposter syndrome, and shame grew, and I felt like a failure. And most important, I felt physically off and drained. Finally, I made the painful, long drawn-out decision to walk away from it. It felt like a huge shameful failure at the time, but looking back, it was the turning point I needed.
Reflecting now, I realize that wasn’t the first time I’d felt that inner knowing. My body had been telling me all along, but I didn’t want to listen. Walking away from real estate was a huge reminder that my body always knows. That gut feeling was right, and trusting it was what ultimately led me to breathwork—a path that is authentically aligned with who I am. Now, I trust my intuition more than ever, and I help others do the same, teaching them that resilience is about listening and being in close relationship with your body and having the courage to change course when needed.
