We recently connected with Jenn Troy and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenn, thanks for joining us today. Often outsiders look at a successful business and think it became a success overnight. Even media and especially movies love to gloss over nitty, gritty details that went into that middle phase of your business – after you started but before you got to where you are today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. Can you talk to us about your scaling up story – what are some of the nitty, gritty details folks should know about?
Here’s a response about how The Troy Method scaled up:
When it comes to scaling The Troy Method, our growth has been very organic and referral driven. From the very beginning (and gratefully), we didn’t have to spend a single dollar on marketing during the first two years. Instead, our growth was driven by referrals from two key sources: marketing agencies and the clinics we’ve served. These agencies, who already had a pulse on their clients’ needs, recognized that while their clinics had a strong influx of leads, they often struggled with following up effectively. They saw the gap and referred those clinics to us, knowing that The Troy Method could step in and solve this issue.
At the same time, clinics that had experienced the value of our services became advocates. Their success stories became the best kind of marketing—word of mouth. It’s been incredible to see how our results have resonated with both agencies and clinics alike, leading to a referral-based system that fueled our early growth.
We’ve also been very intentional about building a team that shares our passion for holistic health. Many of our team members come from in-clinic experiences themselves, so they know firsthand the importance of quality patient care. But what really makes us strong is our collective mission: to positively impact as many lives as possible. We want to help patients live longer, healthier, and happier lives—free from unnecessary drugs and surgeries—and we get to do that by working closely with the clinics we serve.
Creating a positive, purpose-driven work environment has been key to sustaining this mission. Every team member understands that behind every phone call, email, or appointment scheduled, there’s a patient who can be positively impacted. That’s what keeps us motivated day in and day out, and it’s what drives our success as a team.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Jenn Troy, the CEO and founder of The Troy Method. I’ve always been passionate about helping businesses grow, especially in the chiropractic and holistic health space. My journey into this industry began when I saw the gap many clinics were facing: they were excellent at providing care but struggled with converting leads and booking appointments. That’s where we come in.
At The Troy Method, we specialize in lead conversion and new patient appointment scheduling services for Chiropractic and Holistic health clinics. Our goal is simple: to help clinics convert more leads into loyal, long-term patients. We’ve developed a system that ensures potential patients don’t fall through the cracks—from the first contact to their first appointment and beyond.
What sets us apart is our personalized approach and our in clinic experience. We tailor our services to the specific needs of each clinic, ensuring that every lead is nurtured with care. We don’t just provide cookie-cutter solutions. We take the time to understand your clinic’s values and processes to make sure every patient interaction reflects your practice’s unique personality and mission. We are a team of patient advocates who believe in the services of our clinics because together we have both extensive in clinic experience and a huge passion for natural healthcare. We also leverage the power of automation, while keeping a human touch, to ensure your leads feel connected and supported.
I’m particularly proud of the results we’ve been able to achieve. Whether it’s helping clinics grow their patient base, improve their internal processes, or simply reduce the overwhelm that often comes with managing leads, our success stories speak for themselves.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Referrals! I was more than 2 years into running my business before I spent a penny on marketing. The key for our growth has been getting and giving referrals from marketing agencies and clinics that have used our services and sent other clinics and docs our way! It’s a testament to the quality of our services.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We meet with our clinics regularly to go over key performance indicators and insights on their monthly metrics. We also provide prompt responses to all emails and questions the clinics send our way. Email and text nurturing is also a great way for us to keep potential, current and past clients up to date on any new services or offerings we are providing. It is important that no matter the way we are communicating with our clinics, we always make sure to personalize any of our follow-up and exceed their expectations.
