When most of my peers were worrying about prom, I was worrying about diapers and doctor’s appointments. Becoming a mom as a teen forced me to grow up fast—juggling school, work, and parenting before I was old enough to vote. There were times I felt completely overwhelmed, but each obstacle taught me how to prioritise, problem‑solve, and keep going when it would’ve been easier to give up. Those same skills carried me through later career moves, including leaving a job that didn’t value its team and launching my own business. Looking back, being a teen mom was the ultimate boot camp in resilience: it showed me that I could thrive under pressure, adapt quickly, and even laugh a little along the way 😉. It’s a big part of why I don’t shy away from challenges today—I know I’ve survived harder.
