We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jenise Collins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jenise thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
I was at my job for 15yrs, regular pay check, work regular hours, plus working with kids to help change lives.
I started my business with no team, use.my own money, plus I did not have all the tools to be in business.. But I have passion
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the business by someone who introduced me to a product that can assist me on my journey to lose weight, but also delicious. I have been in business for three yrs. I’m the first in My family to have own a business, go to college but to continue to serve. I serve delicious protein shakes. Under 250 cal, 24grams of protein, low in sugar. This product I use has been around over 40yrs. I have a mentor who was in the business for 13yrs.
I love helping my customers to feel better on the inside & out. I also love being an ear if someone is having a good or bad day.
I’m very passionate about my customers
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I started my business 6months before the Pandemic. I offer delivery, drive up or people order product to make at home. During this time my mother got diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. I had to close my business on the day she has chemo
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I started my business, while I was working at Mooseheart. My first clients were my co-workers. I made shakes in the home I lived plus I taught zoomba.
