We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jenine Camins. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jenine below.
Alright, Jenine thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
Have you ever wished for a fresh start? Maybe there’s something you regret—something you wish you could just erase, so you could begin again and do it “right” this time?
This very situation came up with one of my clients, a small business owner. In our sessions, we focused on building her business while also navigating the complexities of life—things like relationships and self-identity.
We all go through periods of transition—that feel like ‘life quakes’. They shake up both our inner and outer worlds.
She had been keeping herself so busy that she didn’t have time to think about who she truly was or what she wanted. In her words, she was ‘running from herself.’
Pursuing goals and navigating change can be both exciting and overwhelming. My client expressed a desire to start over, hoping to ‘do it better’ this time. But I reminded her that we often bring the same patterns into new situations—whether it’s in our relationships or how we handle challenges.
The first step to change is recognizing these patterns. It’s about building awareness of them.
We can be our own toughest critics. But one important truth is that our experiences, especially the hard ones, offer invaluable lessons. They can help us avoid repeating the same patterns.
So, I suggested a different approach.
Instead of completely wiping the slate clean, I asked her to imagine a dry-erase board, where even after you wipe it, there’s still a faint trace of what was there before.
That way, it’s not about erasing the past entirely. The lessons remain, but there’s enough space for a fresh start—this time with the wisdom that comes from experience.
With this shift in perspective she was able to approach the past and future with more compassion, acceptance, and self-awareness.
This approach is something we can all use.
By reflecting on our patterns and learning from them, we can connect our past experiences to our future goals. And most importantly, we can embrace the messiness of life along the way.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a Performance & Personal Development Coach, I help bridge the gap between intention and action.
My clients are motivated professionals and individuals seeking growth—whether it’s to achieve a specific goal or navigate a new life stage.
How many Sunday nights have you gone to bed with a new plan, convinced that this time things will be different?
You’re going to prioritize more effectively, create an email marketing strategy, cook healthier meals, exercise more… the list goes on!
Yet, by Monday, you find yourself back in the same loop. Now, feeling anxious and frustrated.
We live in an age of information overload, with no shortage of experts on podcasts, in articles, and in books offering the next big solution. Often, we gather these tools but never implement them or find what truly works for us.
The one expert missing is the expert on YOU.
It’s common to have the best of intentions—whether it’s changing work/life habits, making aspirational to-do lists, or setting lofty, “SMART” goals. But these remain just wishes until we take action and implement them.
When seeking a coach, you don’t want to feel judged or like you’re not good enough if you didn’t complete every action step between sessions.
My approach fosters true transformation because it starts from within.
Together, we’ll build momentum as you gain greater awareness and acceptance of yourself. This means retraining your beliefs and developing the mindset necessary for sustainable success.
We’ll create a clear plan tailored to your strengths, challenges, and patterns, helping you feel more confident and empowered to build momentum on your own terms.
The changes you make in one area of your life can create a ripple effect of benefits throughout.
It’s a compassionate, holistic approach to transformation.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I often think of the image of a rigid branch that easily breaks. Flexibility—the ability to bend without breaking—is a true sign of resilience.
As small business owners, we often have to adapt to meet the demands or needs of our customers.
My own pivots have led me to where I am today, allowing me to draw from all of my experiences to better serve my clients.
I started out as a meditation teacher and mindfulness trainer. My first clients were women going through breast cancer treatment. Together, we focused on holistic healing—nurturing their mindset and helping them manage stress.
Those clients recommended me to their friends, and through word of mouth, my practice grew.
While I loved this work, I felt called to help people beyond just the healing stage. I wanted to support them in taking the next step—moving forward with strength and confidence.
That’s when I pivoted and earned my coaching certification. Now, I combine my experience as a coach with mindfulness techniques, helping clients build awareness across all areas of their life—work, family, and self.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Working with a coach is such a personal experience, and many of my clients come to me through word of mouth because a friend or family member shared their positive experience.
Even clients who have worked with other coaches have told me that the relationship and respect we build together is unique. Creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you don’t have to be perfect is actually the key to fostering success.
Although I’m a business owner, my focus is always on the relationships with my clients. It’s about one person working with another person.
This approach ensures I never lose sight of the struggles and vulnerabilities my clients face. At our core, we all want to feel seen, accepted, and appreciated for who we are. We’re already hard enough on ourselves—we don’t need judgment from someone else.
That’s why my approach is so personalized. From the packages I offer to the customized roadmaps I create, I stay flexible and focused on the unique needs of each individual.
This approach has helped me build a reputation where clients share things like:
“You have a real superpower of uncovering someone’s inner spark and motivating them to take action.”
“Your empathy and compassion, especially your willingness to feel for me and with me during our conversations, make it so much easier to be honest and real. That’s special.”
“Jenine has the ability to relate to and empathize with any age. She’s non-judgmental and always caring. After my kids talk to her, they always feel better and are motivated to be their best. I recommend her to everyone!”
“I know you are fully invested in me and in helping me uncover what I truly need.”
It’s an honor to be invited into someone’s life, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.
