We recently connected with Jenessa Davis and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jenessa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our mission at FANESS®️ is nails being wellness. Treating yourself is so emotionally important for women. We are all doing more and have less time to unplug. This is why it’s important to create a nail salon that will keep women in the present and help a lot of women feel sane again. Our salon environment has a unique salon Feng shui that will help improve your health and well-being. In fact, there is a direct relationship between your health and the quality of energy in our work space and how we design it. With that being said, we want to create a minimalistic environment that is clutter-free by adding little use of color and living plants to give life to the space and client.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Jenessa Janee Davis I’m a Pro Nail Artist that specializes in skin care, editorial, and modern day contemporary nail artistry. I’m Currently based in Metro Detroit, MI. I’ve been a part of the beauty industry for 6 years and am a licensed nail artist and limited cosmetology instructor.
Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, after graduating from the Douglas J Aveda Institute in 2012, I went on to pursue education and started my career as an educator for the institute. After my first job at the institution; my second job in the beauty industry was with Jenny Nails Salon 2017-2019 where I learned to work with a diverse clientele and the art of building relationships. Later becoming a traveling artist and doing nails for editorial photo shoot — major brands. Since then, I began to develop all the
necessary skills to be sustainable and profitable on my own. Soon after I became the CEO of Faness Nails in 2019, focusing on creating art for magazines and modern day women. I consider myself a master shredder that strives to deliver excellence, authenticity, and care for those who I am honored with serving.
FANESS®️ Nail Salon is a full-service salon specializing in serving the modern day women and male clientele. By taking a healthier approach and offering a GEL-X Nail Extension System that requires No filing needed, no dust, no odor, and no damage to natural nails. Along with traditional manicures, skin care, continuous education, contemporary art and an in house residence program for nail artist. Additionally, the business would like to bridge the gap between the nail and art community, to elevate and inspire artists with new and creative energy comingthrough the space.
FANESS®️ Nail Salon strive to offer our clients a unique opportunity to elevate nail art and experience artistry not just locally but by the best artists around the world. Allowing the salon space to become an immersive experience — In hopes to expand and build new audiences, with also having more community involvement through partnerships and events.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When building an audience on social media. Staying consistent & creative is important. Users are looking for content that is relatable, honest, and transparent. The focus is no longer on perfectly curated feeds, cohesive aesthetics, or poised brand photos. As a creator, this is a significant advantage because it means you can spend less time on what your content looks like and more time on the message and emotions behind what you’re creating.
Which will easily build a authentic audience on social media without you having to worry about the rest. Social media users are typically attracted to the value they feel you and your business can bring to their lives, but ultimately people want to see the person behind the brand.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with clients by keeping a collection of my clients profile, which contains a name, phone number, email and address. This gives you opportunity to share and update your clientele on your personal website, events and other related topics. Clients love feeling connected with your business and your community as you grow your business.
To foster brand loyalty, you need to deliver on your brand promise, exceed customer expectations, provide value and convenience, and reward your loyal customers.
