In the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges, I found myself at a crossroads, where every aspect of my life hung in the balance. In 2011, a ruptured lower spine shattered my world, leaving me dealing with excruciating pain and an uncertain future. Despite the bleak prognosis by well-intentioned healthcare professionals, I refused to surrender to their limited vision of my future. Over the course of a decade, I navigated a great deal of loss—of income, of security, of dignity—while battling chronic pain and rebuilding my shattered life, one resilient step at a time.

Then, just as I began to regain my footing, the blows of fate struck once more. In 2020, a careless driver’s negligence hurled me into a new challenge of trauma and rehabilitation, culminating in cervical spine surgery and an unforeseen stroke. Amidst the chaos of physical and emotional turmoil, I sought solace in a relationship that I believed would supportive—a partnership built on kindness, growth, and shared purpose. Yet, as I gained clarity from the space of vulnerability, I realized the painful truth: I had become tangled in a web of manipulation and abuse. My boundaries had been crossed and my self-worth was impacted due to the fear of not being able to manage on my own.

My journey, marked by resilience and revelation, crystallized into a profound realization: no woman should ever feel compelled to compromise her dignity or settle for less than she deserves, regardless of life’s adversities. From the result of my experiences, Aligned Life was born—an environment of empowerment, enlightenment, and elevation for women.

Looking back, it’s amusing to realize that nursing—a profession I once vowed never to pursue—became the cornerstone of my journey. With three decades in healthcare, specializing in Emergency and Trauma for twenty years, I can’t help but see it as divine intervention. Year twenty-four of my career marked a pivotal moment when exhaustion consumed me, and I knew my calling had shifted. What was once my passion now drained me. Through a fellow nurse, I stumbled into network marketing and direct sales, thrusting me far from my comfort zone. Despite the challenges, fueled by determination, I sought growth relentlessly, battling self-limiting beliefs, procrastination, and self-sabotage. Curiosity became my compass, guiding me through a transformational odyssey. From a novice to a volunteer coach, eventually becoming a trainer, my perspective shifted drastically. I shed the victim mentality and embraced newfound wisdom, liberated from circumstances dictating my reality. Witnessing countless souls yearning for change, I realized a higher purpose—a fusion of transformational training, nutritional supplementation, and business acumen. This calling led to crafting programs like Clarity Catalyst and Insight to Illumination, blending Stanford University’s business principles with personal empowerment. Trusted by industry titans like Facebook and Prada, my approach thrives on action. Through personalized coaching, rooted in authenticity and humility, I navigate clients toward clarity and consistent progress. My journey, though unique, mirrors theirs, fostering mutual learning and growth. In this journey, there’s love, tough love, and awe-inspiring breakthroughs. I don’t charge for tools or information; I charge for tangible results, fueled by love and compassion. Transitioning from intellect to intuition took effort, but now, it’s my natural state—leading with heart, transforming lives.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source of new clients for me has been fostering the mentality of “impact one life at a time.” This approach has been immensely supportive in attracting clients who resonate with my mission and values. As a newly launched company, building locally through hosting and attending events has proven to be a significant driver in expanding my business. Joining local women’s business groups and genuinely engaging with others, supporting them in their goals, has been highly effective in establishing connections and building trust within the community. Additionally, staying consistent on my social media platforms has made a significant impact in reaching a wider audience and showcasing the value I offer. Consistency is key when it comes to building a community, and follow-up is crucial in nurturing relationships and converting leads into clients. Overall, prioritizing genuine connections, community engagement, and consistent communication has been instrumental in attracting new clients and growing my business.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Certainly! Building an audience on social media has been an exciting journey for me, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. Consistency has been key in establishing a presence and building trust with my audience. I make sure to show up regularly, whether it’s posting content, engaging with followers, or sharing valuable insights.

One of the cornerstones of my social media strategy has been adding value. Instead of focusing solely on promoting my services, I aim to provide content that educates, inspires, and empowers my audience. Whether it’s sharing tips, offering free resources, or highlighting success stories, I strive to deliver content that resonates with my followers and addresses their needs.

Additionally, I’ve made it a priority to support others in the online community. Being a cheerleader for fellow entrepreneurs and content creators not only fosters goodwill but also helps to build meaningful connections. I authentically engage with individuals who I could imagine hanging out with in person, forming genuine relationships that extend beyond the digital realm.

Joining groups where my niche audience hangs out has also been instrumental in expanding my reach. By adding valuable content to these communities and participating in discussions, I’ve been able to position myself as a trusted resource and attract like-minded individuals to my social media profiles.

Running free 5-day challenges has been another effective strategy for building my audience and generating excitement around my brand. These challenges provide value to participants while also showcasing my expertise and services. They create a sense of community and camaraderie among participants, leading to increased engagement and visibility on social media.

Finally, creating a private group has allowed me to foster deeper connections with my audience and provide exclusive content and support. By adding value to this group through live Q&A sessions, workshops, and personalized coaching, I’ve been able to cultivate a loyal community of engaged followers who are eager to interact with my brand.

For those just starting to build their social media presence, my advice would be to focus on consistency, adding value, and authentic engagement. Be genuine in your interactions, support others in your niche, and provide content that resonates with your audience. Join relevant groups, run challenges, and create private communities to further connect with your followers and build a strong online presence. Remember, building a successful social media presence takes time and effort, but by staying true to your brand and consistently delivering value, you’ll attract and retain a loyal audience eager to engage with your content.
