We were lucky to catch up with Jenee LaPread recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jenee, appreciate you joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

I came up with the name Jenesis Naturals after my daughter Genesis. I want to build a strong business that I can leave behind for her and my future generation. Also I strive to provide 100% natural product as well, hence the word naturals

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I am a proud mother and entrepreneur. I’ve had a passion for entrepreneurship since the young age of thirteen. I ended up making seamoss gel at the peak of the pandemic. My product has helped multiple people and alleviated multiple Covid symptoms as well which allowed me to help many people. Seamoss is a superfood that naturally detoxify the body of mucus and helps regulate the body. I use wildcrafted seamoss only that is 100% natural from the sea, never pool grown or lab made. My most proud accomplishments is getting my product in the hands of my customers. Without them and God, I would have never made it this far. I love each and every one. I am dedicated to every customer I have and I strive to always produce quality product at affordable prices.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I remember a time when I had zero sales for months at a time. Although I was sending emails, creating promotional campaigns, using all social media handles nothing was happening. I could have easily gotten discouraged or felt defeated but instead I used that as motivation. One day you will look up and become overwhelmed by sales. Never despise humble beginnings!

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

One lesson I had to unlearn is believing every person I knew would be my biggest supporters. Although it sounds really good and a lot of my family members are (I’m thankful for every one) majority of your loyal supporters are complete strangers. And guess what…that is 100% okay!
As long as you do the right thing, learn from every mistake and never give up, you’ll make it.
