Jenece, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The Story Behind Significant Beginnings: Turning Passion into Purpose
When my family and I moved from Ohio to Florida in 2016, I had no idea I was about to create something extraordinary. My first job in Florida lasted eight months, with a exhausting hour-and-a half commute each way. Determined to find something closer to home, I landed another job just 45 minutes away but within three weeks, I realized it wasn’t for me. I was working nights, barely making enough, and feeling lost.
One day, driving home, I began to pray, asking the Lord, “What else can I do? What am I good at”? That’s when I heard to write resumes, academic papers, cover letters, editing- things I had always loved and excelled at with family and friends over the years. Then came my next question: “What should I call the business?” I distinctly heard, “Significant Beginnings”.
I was curious. “Why, Lord?” I asked. The response I got was: I was starting anew, and I’d be helping others do the same. It wouldn’t just be a fresh start—it would be a significant one. Once home, I shared everything with my husband, and together we brainstormed ideas for intake forms, website designs, and workflows. I threw myself into building the foundation for what would become my business, but I hesitated to launch it for two years.
When I finally took the leap, I knew I was stepping into something truly special. Significant Beginnings isn’t just about writing resumes or business plans; it’s about empowering business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals to step boldly into their next chapter. I’ve been where they are—searching, striving, and wondering if something better is possible.
What excites me most about this journey is offering a unique and personal approach. It’s not just about delivering a service—it’s about partnering with people to help them shine in their pursuits. Each project is a chance to inspire, uplift, and create meaningful impact.
Significant Beginnings isn’t just a name; it’s a calling and later I found it was my ministry. It’s about helping others launch their dreams, start fresh, and achieve greatness—all with the care, attention, and excellence they deserve.

One exhausting drive home, I had a moment of clarity. “How else can I contribute?” I asked in my prayers. The answer was obvious: writing. Resumes, business plans, cover letters, academic papers—you name it, I was good at it. Writing had always been a passion for me, but it had never been viewed as a calling. It all came together when I used the name Significant Beginnings. It took me a while to understand what it meant at first, but then it made total sense. By creating a new start for myself, I was helping others accomplish the same.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media was not a “hit post and go viral” kind of tory—it was a journey, filled with trial, error, and a lot of lessons. When I started, I was nervous, even scared out of mind! I worried: Will anyone care about my message? Will they see the value in what I do? But I leaned into three key things: authenticity, consistency, and purpose—and that’s where the magic happened.
My Approach
Engagement became my priority. I didn’t just post and ghost—I replied to comments, DMs, and questions. I celebrated wins with my audience and created posts that sparked real conversations. Polls, thought-provoking questions, quick tips—they all helped build a genuine dialogue.
One of my key pivotal moments was listening to my audience. Analytics were useful, but paying attention to what resonated with people helped me create content they truly valued—videos, testimonials, how-to posts, and even behind-the-scenes peeks into my process.
And the game-changer? Collaboration. Partnering with other entrepreneurs and brands opened up new audiences while building relationships. I stopped seeing others as competitors and started seeing them as part of a shared community.
My Advice for Starting Your Social Media Journey
Keep It Real: People follow people. Share your story, struggles, and wins—it’s what makes you relatable
Show Up Consistently: You don’t need to post every day, but be present
Engage, Don’t Just Broadcast: Social media isn’t a megaphone—it’s a conversation. Respond to comments, ask questions, and make your audience feel seen
Add Value: What’s in it for them? Share tips, insights, inspiration, or even entertainment that makes your audience feel they gained something
Be Open to Experimenting: Social media changes constantly. Try new formats, tweak your messaging, and don’t be afraid to fail—it’s all part of the process
Collaborate: Team up with like-minded creators or businesses. You’ll gain exposure and build a stronger community.
Connection is at the heart of everything. It shines through when you care about your message and your audience-and that leads to loyal, engaged followers. Be confident in what you are saying, and others will follow suit.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
The heart of Significant Beginnings is building client relationships and building brand loyalty. For me, it’s about building genuine, lasting relationships that go beyond one-time deals.
Frequently, I check in with my clients, whether it is a follow-up email to celebrate their wins, a quick tip, or even a personalized message to ask, “How’s everything going?” ” These small gestures show that I’m not just here for the moment—I’m here for the journey.
Throughout my newsletters, I also share tips, updates, and resources designed to empower and inspire you. Through social media, I highlight client successes and share behind-the-scenes moments that make them feel part of our Significant Beginnings family.
For me, loyalty begins with listening. It is my goal to make sure each client feels heard and appreciated by asking for feedback and incorporating it into the process. And let’s be real—when you show people you truly care about their success, loyalty isn’t just built; it’s earned.
At the end of the day, staying in touch is more than just a strategy; it’s a reflection of what I believe: every client is a partner, and every success story is a shared achievement. Because when you create meaningful relationships, you’re not just building a brand—you’re building a legacy.
