We recently connected with Jen Pleasants and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jen thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
It is hard to narrow down the most meaningful project as our whole company, showtheLOVE is built around meaning and inspiration. If I had to pick just one, it would be the creation of our Phoenix Heart. I know so many people who are battling cancer and I wanted to create a talisman to give them hope- a piece to remind them of their own strength. I had a vision of a phoenix, the symbol of rebirth and rising up from the ashes. So I sculpted this powerful bird with a heart behind it, kind of like a Purple Heart medal, but for those going through challenging times. It was especially cool while I was creating it, I pulled the glowing, red, hot sterling phoenix from the ashes in the kiln, and marveled that it was literally rising from the ashes. All of our jewelry is coded with meaning and high vibrations to enhance the wearer’s crystalline structure, adding to the talisman’s power. This piece has helped hundreds of people remember to find the light in the darkness.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Since a littler girl, I was torn. In my heart I felt like I was an artist, but in school I could not draw or paint and I thought that was a requirement to be good at art. I realized later in life that I loved to work with clay and could easily turn it into people or jewelry or anything I could image and that art is anything that creates emotion in someone. Today I am proud to be a working artist manifesting my creations in my jewelry and larger than life bronze sculptures.
I am most proud of our business showtheLOVE that I have built with my partner Ariana Beil. showtheLOVE jewelry is a conduit for awakening and activation. Our collection extends beyond aesthetics, each piece serving as a mindful ally in your spiritual journey. By blending healing crystals, sacred symbols, and affirmations, we handcraft jewelry that not only elevates your style but also awakens your spirit. As you wear these uniquely designed pieces, your intentions align with the energy they carry, ushering in a resonance that awakens your inner potential. Our high-vibrational jewelry isn’t merely about outward expression; it’s a reminder of the power within, nurturing your unique path of growth and intention. Moreover, 100% of profits support humanitarian and environmental causes.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I have suffered with chronic debilitating migraines and depression from as long as I can remember. After thirty years of searching I finally found medicine to keep me alive, but in the interim my motto was that of Dory from Finding Nemo, “Just keep swimming.” The secret was in every moment of pain to shift my focus to all of the things I am grateful for. It did not stop the pain, but it kept me moving forward.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I grew up Catholic. By the time I was in college I had seen some of the world and decided there could not be a God because of all the suffering I witnessed. Therefore, I did not believe in life after death. I assumed (and hoped) that when you die there was just blackness and peace, which as someone with depression sounds like heaven. Or scientifically, I conjured, since energy doesn’t die, and they have proven that we weigh less in the minutes after death, that perhaps some of your soul energy leaves the body and is sprinkled through the cosmos. But, in no way is there an after life where you are reunited with loved ones and you continue on. Even in 2019 when my dad passed, I was like, good luck dad in the great beyond, thinking he was gone for good from my life.
Then one day in the Fall of 2021, I suddenly started (without trying) to be able to communicate with spirits of dead family members. It blew my mind. I asked for proof and they provided it. I started reading, to date over 100 books on the topic of spirituality, paranormal events, quantum physics etc. I now understand that there is continuation of consciousness and we keep evolving our souls by experiencing different incarnations, whether it be as a person, tree or extra terrestrial etc. Source energy is in all of us and is the all that is. We exist for Source to experience itself. So much exists that we cannot see. Multiverses, alien species, elementals. Life is so magical beyond belief. And we are reunited with our loved ones and they do watch over us as do angels, spirit guides and other light beings.
I would say the four most influential books I read would be 1- Seth Speaks, Deepak Chopra says the Seth books present an alternative map of reality with a new diagram of the psyche… useful to all explorers of consciousness. 2- The Ra Contact, transcript of thousands of questions asked to extra dimensional beings. 3- Three Waves of Volunteers by Delores Cannon, hypnotherapist regresses people to past lives and it will blow your mind. 4- The Book of Mastery by Paul Selig who is a Yale PHD who channels Guides who help awaken us to self realization and mastery of our lives. I have a hundred more to recommend if anyone is interested just reach out to me through showtheLOVE.
