Hi Jen , thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Luxuria Studios is an organic and natural alternative to commercial skincare products. Promoting the use of natural and organic ingredients help and rejuvenate both mind and body.
Starting in December 2019, I created this brand as a result of becoming allergic to commercial skincare products. Through research, I’ve developed products that use only natural and organic ingredients that can be easily absorbed by the body without causing harm, long term.
All products are made with organic and natural ingredients that can help with skin issues, relaxation and stress
relief. Customers notice the difference in naturally beautiful skin and overall well-being.
With dedicated research, sourcing of organic and wild crafted botanical plants, oils, butters and clays and
blending them into the perfect synergy, have culminated into these beautiful blends.
Crafting everything by hand in small batches to encourage richness of products and idea use of natural botanical
properties; creating beneficial items without added chemicals or synthetic preservatives.
All ingredients are sourced and made in Canada.
The future vision for the company is to be a viable and sustainable business that is rooted in education of the community on the natural resources that can be used for body care. Changing the landscape of commercial synthetic products that
cause detriment to our health.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario Canada, I was always concerned about my skin. Dealing with the pollution and toxins of being in a large city, allergens are higher. Often relying on commercial skincare products, as they were widely available and highly marketed as the solution to all skincare woes.
However, as I got older, I began to experience allergic reactions to the very products she had been using for years. I noticed that my skin was becoming increasingly sensitive, irritated, and dry, despite using products that claimed to be gentle and nourishing. My quest for healthy and beautiful skin seemed to be at odds with my increasing sensitivity.
I decided to take matters into her own hands and began to research natural and organic ingredients that could help soothe my skin. I experimented with different formulations and created her my skincare products, using only natural ingredients that were gentle on her sensitive skin; all locally sourced from Ontario Farms and retailers.
I was amazed at the results achieved with my new natural skincare routine. My skin began to look and feel healthier than ever before, and allergic reactions disappeared completely.
After spending the previous 17 years in the healthcare world as a Product Manager, seeing the potential of my products, I decided to start her own skincare brand, with a focus on natural and organic ingredients that were safe and effective for all skin types, especially those with sensitive skin. I spent months perfecting my formulations, creating unique and effective blends of natural ingredients that nourished and protected the skin.
I’ve expanded my line to include a variety of products, including cleansers, toners, moisturizers, and serums. The line also includes aromatherapy candles with essential oils as well as handmade resin home decor with references of natural elements within each unique design. My commitment to using only natural and organic ingredients, and my dedication to creating products that were safe and effective for all, makes the brand a hit with customers around the world. My passion for skincare had led me to create a successful business that helped people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
The Luxuria Studios Brand started as a side hustle. While fighting allergic reactions to commercial skincare and creating new organic and natural products to relieve skin issues, I continued to grow in Product Development and Management within the healthcare world. Becoming a top executive in just a few short years as VP of Product, I was thrilled to achieve so much in my career at a young age. Although I loved the thrill of corporate life, with its high stakes and fast-paced environment. leading teams and building others, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment with every promotion earned and every project she completed.
However, as the years went by, I began to feel like something was missing. Despite my success, I felt unfulfilled and restless, frustrated and annoyed with the political bureaucracy that was my day to day life. I longed for something more, something that would allow me to express my creativity and make a real impact on the world.
After much consideration, tears and heartache of leaving a career behind, I left my executive status and career for a brand new adventure that had no guarantee. In hopes of finding peace, joy and the fulfillment in life I wanted. The idea of leaving my high-paying corporate job was terrifying, but the thought of creating something with my own hands and building a business from the ground up was also exhilarating. I had helped so many other CEO’s build companies for them, I wanted to do it for myself.
The first couple of months of my business, after COVID was and still is challenging. I struggled to find customers and build a following, and the financial uncertainty is overwhelming at times. But I’m was determined to make my business a success. I pour her heart and soul into every piece she created, and slowly but surely, my business is continuing to grow.
Looking back on my decision to leave my corporate job, I know that it was the best decision I had ever made. I took a chance on myself and my dreams, and it will paid off in ways I can only imagine. In all the years of being in the corporate world, I have never been happier building something for myself than I am now. I created a business that brought me joy and fulfillment, and I’m excited to see where my journey would take me next.

Fostering brand loyalty is essential for any business, including one in skincare where there is an exceeding amount of education to the clients for the products success, in today’s market. A few effective ways I’ve created a strong bond with my customers and foster brand loyalty are:
1. Building trust: Customers are more likely to be loyal to a brand that they trust. Therefore, it’s essential to build trust by delivering on my promises, being transparent about my products and services, and providing excellent customer service.
2. Provide exceptional customer service: Customers appreciate businesses and owners that go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service, whether that’s responding to inquiries promptly, resolving issues quickly, and being available to answer their questions or even hand delivering products last minute to fulfill a gift request, can help build a strong bond with your customers.
3. Offering loyalty programs: Luxuria Studios has created a loyalty program to reward my customers for their loyalty to the brand. We offer discounts, exclusive promotions, or free products/services to the most loyal customers, which hopefully makes them feel valued and appreciated.
4. Creating engaging content: Creating engaging content that resonates with our target audience help foster brand loyalty. A new blog post is created every two weeks for our readers to enjoy. Also, sharing stories, testimonials, and customer success stories, helps create an emotional connection with customers, making them feel more connected to my brand.
5. Personalizing the customer experience: Personalization is key to fostering brand loyalty, especially in skincare. By understanding our customers’ preferences and interests, I can tailor the messaging, products, and services to meet their specific needs, which can help create a stronger bond with our customers.
6. Being socially responsible: The Luxuria Studios customers appreciate that I am socially responsible and care about the environment and their community. By supporting social causes, promoting sustainability, and giving back to the community, it shows a level of care beyond simply making the business success or capital gain.
