Jemerris, appreciate you joining us today. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? The world needs to hear more realistic, actionable stories about this critical part of the business building journey. Tell us your scaling up story – bring us along so we can understand what it was like making the decisions you had, implementing the strategies/tactics etc.
Hello Everyone ! My Name Is Jemerris Giles Or Better Known As Jay The Goat In The Fitness World And I’m The Owner Of Gym 55 In Hampton, Ga. I’m 26 Years Old And I’ve Been Training Now For A Little Over Twelve Years. I’ve Been Blessed To Work With And Or Train Over Ten Thousand Clients If Not More Between Celebrities And Professional Athletes And Even Our Regular Day People. This Journey For Me Started Out In My Parents Two Car Garage In Hampton Were I First Started Getting My Feet Wet In Training Clients And Opening Up With People See Today As Gym 55. When I First Started Training It Was More For Me To Stay In Shape For Football And Other Health Reasons , But Just Seemed God Had Something For Me To Do In The Fitness Industry And Give Back To People Through Health And Wellness. When I First Started Training I Really Didn’t Take It As Seriously As I Should Because I Was More Focused On Football And Making It To The NFL. After My Junior Season At Reinhardt University I Ended Up Suffering A Major Injury That Caused Me To Unlace My Cleats And Retire From The Game I Loved. After Doing My Own Rehab And Being Back Home I Received A Call From My Best-Friend’s Aj Mom And She Wanted Me To Train Her And Get Her Back Active Again And From There That’s How The Goat Was Born And I Poured All My Eggs Into One Basket And Started Taking Off In The Training Game.

Jemerris, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Of Course When I First Started Training In Middle/High School I Didn’t Have That Much Training Experience Besides Training With My Dad And Working Out With My Coaches And Older Friends. But One Thing About Me I Was Always A Fast Learner And Caught On To Things Quick. In My Middle School And High School Years I Use To Remember My Weight Training Teachers Use To Let Me Help Run The Class And Train The Kids That Needed Help With Form And Technique And Just Show My Level Of Expertise To Help Make Those Around Me Better Or If Not Better Than Me To Help Build A Better Result. With Being Twelve Years In The Game It Took A lot Of Time And Reading To Learn How To Run A Business And Build Clientele And Just Putting In Countless Early Mornings And Late Nights To Get Things Right And Staying Motivated To The Craft. I’ve Been Blessed To Be Apart Of Four TV Shows Like “ The Biggest Loser “ & My 600 Pound Weight Loss Just To Name A Few. But Also Being Apart Of Different Magazines And Articles To Learn About My Story And Career From Being In “ Mens Health “ & “ Voyager ATL “ & Even “ Health Weekly “ To Name A Few. So I’ve Definitely Seen The Benefits Of Putting A Great Deal Of Time Into My Craft To Get To Where I Am Today And Most Of All Staying Consistent And Moving Along With The Way The Health & Fitness World Is Changing Daily. But Even Lastly Making Sure I Keep Up On My Education From Having My Master Trainer Certification And Nutritionist Certification And Athletic Training Certification And Been Blessed To Receive A Doctorate Degree In Physical Science For Mercer University Online Through The Help Of My Mentor Mr.Jason Williams

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I’m Blessed To Have Over Three Hundred Clients On My Active Roster Currently. So I Pride Myself In Treating Everyone Like Family And Making Sure Everyone Feels Welcomed And Loved , But Also Know There Not Just A Number With Me. Each Week I Make Sure To Try And Call Or Text Everyone Individual Just To Check In About Training And Family And Just Life And Keep Everyone Motivated.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I Stay Consistent With Posting Results And Content And Just Making Sure I Keep My Page Professional As Possibly So People Can See My Work For What It Is And See I’m Serious About My Craft And What I’m Building To Continue To Be One Of The Top Dogs On The Southside And Hopefully In The World In Gods Timing.
