We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jeffrey Wachman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jeffrey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Coming from a very poor family and having gone through some very rough times, I like to show people that it’s possible to become successful and overcome all of these things.

Jeffrey , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m part owner of New Age productions, which owns several leading companies in the bachelorette party industry. Hunk-O-Mania and The Diva Royale Drag Queen Show are just 2 of many brands owned by New Age Productions and are the 2 largest shows of their kind in the US, operating in over 35 cities weekly and soon, other countries.
I’m one of the founders of Red Velvet Entertainment, which the owns the Red Velvet Burlesque Show, this company within one year has gone national and is in over 20 cities and counting.
I’ve recently become one of the owners of My Eye Read LLC and Myeyeread.com. It’s an iridology company that studies the iris and helps people to understand their health and things that they are predisposed to, and how to prevent some of these illnesses from occurring or even help them with ones that are already occurring through a holistic approach.
I’ve also founded Credit Road Runner creditroadrunner.com this is a credit repair company that helps people fix their credit and councils them on how to prevent them from making the same mistakes.
The businesses that I am involved in our all service-based businesses that I can feel good about. Providing a service for people that helps them in one manner or another. Our nightlife company serves thousands of women nationwide for their special events. The iridology company helps people understand how to live a healthier lifestyle. The credit repair company helps people obtain a better financial outcome in life. All of these things are things that I’m very proud of.
I also wrote a semi-autobiographical novel about my life story called Braverman: Confessions of a Jewish Teenage Drug Dealer. I wrote this book about my past in hopes to have parents read this book, and understand the pitfalls that can take place in their child’s lives due to the strains of poverty, and also so that children can read this and deter them from making the mistakes I made. I do plan on writing part 2 which would be the story of the successes and the hard work and sacrifices that went into getting there, from the end of part 1 of the first book, to where I am now in life. Part 1 can be found on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Braverman-Confessions-Jewish-Teenage-Dealer/dp/0692619674
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I grew up in a very poor household of eight children, one of which passed away when I was just a baby and that was my sister. My sister was two weeks short of her 18th birthday when she passed, and it devastated my mom. Not soon after, my dad had his first heart attack and later another, and then a stroke. We were already financially strained before those things happened. However, this puts an even bigger strain on the financial situation in our household. At a very early age in life, I quit school, started to deal drugs, and thought that I was doing justice for my family by trying to bring a better financial situation to the table. Starting so young, I lost sight of the original reasons why I started at the streets just made me into one of the biggest dealers in my area at that time. I had even gone to jail at a very early age for a few months, and that didn’t determine if I’m going back to the streets as soon as I was released. Years later in my mid-20s, I wound up doing a few years in prison and my mom passed away while I was locked up. This devastated me because my original way of thinking had me believe that I was doing this for my family and in the end, I wasn’t there when they needed me. This changed my whole way of thinking, and when I was released from prison at the age of 28 I completely changed my life. I did not let the fact that I was a felon stop me from obtaining the type of lifestyle that I wanted to live, and I wanted to make sure that I did everything in my power to make my mom proud, even from heaven above. I started as a vacuum salesman, at an Electrolux dealership in Brooklyn that my brother owned, and I was good at it, I became the number one salesman in 52 stores in the Northeast region within the first six months of my being home from prison. Unfortunately, I had to move on from that position because my brother was living a lifestyle that I wasn’t exactly agreeing with nor was I going to go backward. I started bartending in New York City around a year later. Within a few months of bartending, I became the bar manager, and soon after that was the glue that held the place together. It seems that almost everything I’ve tried to do in my lifetime I’ve excelled at and finally I was doing this in a pro-social manner. Approximately a year after I was the bar manager and bartender at the nightclub, I meant Armand Peri and his wife Fran. At that time they were doing the Hunkomania event at the nightclub where I worked at. They were very hands-on when it came to dealing with their customers and did not let many people interact with them. However, I grew into a position naturally and beame one of those people who did deal with their customers. The opportunity presented itself to open up one of the locations in Los Angeles and I took it. Here we are now almost 13 years later and in 35 cities, I am now one of the owners. The company has evolved in a way that is extraordinary and is something that I am, proud of to say the least. My story should teach anybody, no matter where you come from, that you can make it if you want to.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe that relationships are everything, and in my business, it rings true. I’ve managed to start relationships with venues across the country in the masses and that’s because we mean what we say, and we say what we mean. It’s very important to keep relationships in good standing no matter what, your relationships, and your reputation or one of the same.
