We were lucky to catch up with Jeff Saint Dic recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jeff, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by movies—especially action, adventure, drama, sci-fi, suspense, and sports films. Acting felt like a distant dream. I didn’t attend acting school, and my family struggled financially, so moving to Los Angeles seemed out of reach.
Then life changed. I began losing loved ones and found myself asking a difficult question: What would I regret most on my deathbed? The answer was clear—not giving acting a real shot.
In October 2019, I enrolled in Screen Acting 101 with Jennifer Salvucci at Boston Casting. That class reignited the spark. I followed up with Commercial Acting with Ann Baker, Voice Acting with Sonny Dufault, and then started auditioning. I landed my first big-screen role in The Liberator (2022) as a young Frederick Douglass, and continued working on student films, independent shorts, commercials, and modeling gigs.
In August 2021, I took the ultimate leap of faith. I left my stable career and resigned from my position at MIT’s Office of Residence Life to pursue acting full-time. Many people thought I was crazy for leaving a solid career and moving out of my beautiful Cambridge apartment to move back in with my mom. But those who truly knew me understood—and most importantly, I believed in myself and trusted God with the journey.
I took odd jobs to make ends meet while continuing to train through CP Casting and workshops at Emerson University. Eventually, I traveled to Cannes, France, for a film I was in—Eephus—which was selected for the prestigious Directors’ Fortnight. Through a connection on that film, I was introduced to Tim Ayer, CEO of Model Club Inc., who later signed me.
Today, I’m represented, working, and more committed than ever. The risk was great, but the reward has been even greater. I’m excited, grateful, and ready for what’s next.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For those who don’t know me yet—hi, I’m Jeff Saint Dic, an actor with a passion for telling powerful, emotionally grounded stories through film, television, and voice. My journey into this industry was anything but traditional, and I consider that one of my greatest strengths.
I was born with a love for movies—especially action, drama, sci-fi, suspense, and sports films. Growing up, acting always felt like a far-off dream. My family didn’t have the resources to send me to acting school or relocate to LA, so I pursued a more conventional path. I studied Accounting at Southern Connecticut State University and eventually earned a Master’s Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from Buffalo State. For over a decade, I worked in student affairs at several universities, most recently at MIT.
What sets me apart is the path I took to get to this point. I bring life experience, resilience, and authenticity to every role I undertake. I understand the weight of choosing passion over security, and I bring that emotional depth to the characters I play. My journey also enables me to connect with a diverse range of people, making me a strong collaborator on set.
I’m most proud of having the courage to chase my dream and the discipline to stay committed to it, even when the odds seemed impossible. I want potential clients, casting directors, followers, and fans to know that I approach every project with professionalism, humility, and heart. I’m here for the long run—and I’m just getting started.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
As someone who left a secure career to pursue acting, I don’t take any moment for granted. Every audition, every line, every set I step onto is a reminder that I’m living my dream—something I once thought wasn’t possible for someone like me.
I love meeting fellow cast and crew members and hearing about their journeys. Everyone has a story—how they got here, what drives them—and I find so much inspiration in that. Being surrounded by passionate, talented individuals pushes me to grow not just as an actor, but as a person.
It’s easy to think of acting as a solo pursuit, but it’s anything but that. It’s deeply collaborative. When everyone—from the director to the camera operator to the background actor—is working together to bring something to life, that energy is electric.
What fills me up is knowing that I’m part of something bigger than myself—something creative, emotional, and deeply human. And that I get to keep learning, connecting, and growing along the way.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Absolutely. A few key books and ideas have had a profound impact on how I approach both my creative career and the entrepreneurial mindset it requires.
As a Man Thinketh by James Allen taught me the power of mindset. It helped me realize that my thoughts truly shape my reality. That belief is what gave me the courage to step away from a traditional career path and fully pursue acting. It reminded me that I had the ability to change the course of my life simply by changing the way I think.
The Richest Man in Babylon gave me practical wisdom on how to manage money while pursuing a creative career. That book instilled in me the importance of discipline, long-term thinking, and financial stewardship—especially important when you’re navigating unpredictable income as an artist.
Daring Greatly by Brené Brown helped me embrace vulnerability and trust myself more deeply. Leaving a stable career and putting myself out there in the world of acting felt like the ultimate act of vulnerability. That book helped me understand that vulnerability isn’t weakness—it’s courage. And it’s also the gateway to connection, creativity, and authentic leadership.
