We were lucky to catch up with Jeff Payne recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jeff, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

To be successful you have to have enthusiasm. Finding a passion, and being on fire for what you do is greater than anything else.

Jeff, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m a full time Photographer/Filmmaker located in northeast Tennessee. I started as a YouTuber making short films, and transitioned into photography. Weddings and themed shoots are my focus on the photo side, while spooky short films are my focus on the video side. Good combo, right? Haha

A dark and moody atmosphere is the key in creating something that stands out to me.

I’m beyond grateful of my clients, and having the opportunity to travel the country to capture their moments.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Creating stress free environments, and helping out others even if it’s outside of my title. Capturing good media is one thing, but keeping everyone laughing and smiling is just as important.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Just be yourself, and don’t copy other people. We all have unique and wonderful souls that some of us may try to hide out of fear of being accepted. I’m here to tell you to rock out with your dorky self. People love a personality.
