We were lucky to catch up with Jeff Ejekam recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jeff, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Before anything I knew I wanted to go into business with my best friends. I knew with the influence, pull, and impact we have individually we could do something really special as a group. Initially we started our journey as event curators. We hosted several different events and managed to bring large crowds in spaces where the vibes were absolutely immaculate. Then we started realizing that though having fun at events is great we have the power to really make a difference in people’s lives with the way we are able to bring people together. We asked ourselves what is something that is needed in our community. Well with the help of a special podcast called Earn Your Leisure we knew exactly what we wanted to do. We wanted to use our platform to promote and inspire financial literacy and the lifestyle that comes with that. We used our knowledge of curating events and combined with the the knowledge gained from research of our own in the financial literacy space to create something special where you really can work hard and play hard without feeling like you’re finically in a bind. The best way to do this was to lead by example. We went on a mission to create multiple streams of income through different investment strategies and documented our journey in each endeavor. Information we gained along the way we shared with our community so they too can take initiative to make it happen for themselves. This is a very important part of our brand because seeing is believing. We want to insure that we are giving our community precise and accurate information when it comes to creating generational wealth. I think what sets us apart in this niche is that we embody working hard but celebrating our wins. We make learning financial literacy fun. We embodied our spirit of curating events with the importance of empowering our community in the financial literacy space. We make sure we celebrate wins and celebrate our community. The thing that gets me most about this business is that it is still maturing and we have accomplished so much. We have not even scratched the surface and to be doing this at a fairly young age comparative to what is deemed as the norm just goes to show if you’re dedicated and devoted to your passions you will see success. The thing I love most about this business is that it gives everyone the opportunity to win. Too many times in this world we are trying to bring others down to reach the top. Well we promote networking and building a community to win. This platform allows any person who tunes in to win. That’s what I love about it so much.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
So my name is Jeff Ejekam. I was born and raised in Houston, TX but I am a first generation Nigerian. I am a Captain in the United States but currently in my transition out of the service. I am a Professional Football Player and the CEO and Co-Founder of The Grandeur Society. The way I ended up in the investment and financial literacy space was through the influence of my business partner, Justice Blanchard. Initially, our group focused solely on curating events and entertainment. However, Justice stumbled on an amazing opportunity to get into his first investment through real estate and Airbnb. He took it upon himself to research the industry which led him to the podcast Earn Your Leisure, Justice emphasized the need to educate and promote financial literacy not only amongst ourselves but with our community as well. It was then I knew what our purpose would be in our business.
Here at The Grandeur Society, we offer a lot of things to clients and followers but I will highlight three in particular. First is motivation. All the financial literacy tips, investments, and knowledge we share we have applied ourselves. We provide transparency on our investment journeys so that our followers understand the work it takes to reach true financial freedom. Secondly, we provide a powerful network. We are constantly educating ourselves and putting ourselves in spaces to meet like minded individuals who can add value to this business. Whether it be curating a networking event or simply inviting followers and clients to events we attend we always find a way to put our community in spaces that will only elevate them. Third, we genuinely seek to help our followers in any capacity we can. Whether it be tips on real estate investments, credit courses to help clients/followers, even something as simple as curating the perfect vacation in a city, we help our community live their lives to the fullest. That’s what it’s all about at the end of the day. We promote living your life to its fullest capacity so whatever you are passionate about we are going to do everything we can to help you make that a reality.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I will say that what helped me build my reputation with my market was due to several things in particular. First, with the following that I built through sports, schooling, and my military career everyone saw that I am an extremely hard worker, I am passionate about what I do, and I lead by example. I created credibility with my peers through my body of work. So once I started this business, I was not only preaching it but I was doing it as well. The blueprint stayed the same therefore my credibility stayed the same. And most importantly, the results showed for itself. So the more I talk about the importance of financial literacy and the several investments I’ve made along with my business partners, people listen. Because of that, our business and community is growing at a extremely rapid pace and it’s a beautiful thing to see.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The power of Social Media is amazing. You are able to reach so many people with a click of a button or a post. We have gained a bunch of followers due to posting our journeys and investment plays. The second way I say has been the source to getting new clients is simply networking. Everyone in The Grandeur Society whether founder or member knows the importance of this community and the importance of networking. Anytime someone meets someone who can add value to the community they bring them around to an event and create that connection. It’s truly a beautiful thing to see cause we see so many new faces at our events.
