We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jeassel Rosario. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jeassel below.
Alright, Jeassel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My parents haven’t always had it easy with me. I was a pretty calm child growing up, honor roll in school and following rules at home. All this was great but as a teenager I did become a mom. This news wasn’t easy for my parents but I will say this one thing my parents did correctly was raise a strong, GOD fearing women. I was always taught that no matter how many times I fall I get back up and continue having faith in the Lord. I think the morals my parents installed in me have made such a huge impact in the women and mother I am today. I was raised to work hard, respect everyone regardless of age, race or culture. To treat everyone with love and when I see a need in another and I can help, then help. I was raised learning that to succeed in life you have to work hard nothing is ever handed to you. I truly thank my parents for teaching me such things.

Jeassel , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Jeassel, I was raised in Springfield, Massachusetts. I am the mother to 4 beautiful children. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in the human related field from Elms College located in Chicopee,Massachusetts. I have worked with substance abuse patients, domestic violence victims, mental health patients, and family and children in need. I enjoy helping others and has always been a passion of mine. In 2018 my mother who had undergone a bariatric procedure a year prior was coming to Miami to have cosmetic surgery to remove the excess skin from all the weight loss. My mom was directed by clinic to pick a facility to stay in after her cosmetic procedure. I was amazed they have such facilities and wanted to learn more. Once here in Miami my mom had her procedure and was taking to her recovery facility. I quickly realized this could not be legal or even possible. The care was inadequate, Staff would leave the facility and patients were left alone. This left my mother feeling extremely depressed. Once we returned to Massachusetts my mom’s personal experience left us feeling like we should do more. My mother and I then decided to start our journey on opening a facility that would be assisting women and men after surgery. Now as time has gone by we have purchased a facility and we are a Licensed Assistant Living Facility. Now Body Vice has been working on expanding our services. We feel that we also wanted to assist and be of example to women who want to own a business but also have a family to cater to and most importantly keeping our faith strong. We had our first women’s conference two years ago and we definitely want to bring the women’s conference once again. This time we want to bring more women entrepreneurs and get together to help other women trying to get in business or have a dream that seems unrealistic or hard to reach. Our newest project is also working on our consulting services. We want to expand in helping women and men prepare before, during and after surgery. Now we mean just cosmetic surgery it can be any surgery whatsoever. I mean any surgery can take such a mental toll on any of us. We want to be sure to service clients with nutrition, health care advice and emotional support throughout their journeys. I definitely see Body Vice expanding more and more. I definitely know that helping others is my calling. I want to help women all over the world not only look good but feel good mentally and emotionally. Show women that we can reach anything we set our minds to and that with a little faith we can go a long way.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
I think to succeed in any field where you are helping others or being a caretaker you must have empathy. If you don’t have empathy then this field or business would not be for you. Remember we are working from many different people from different walks of life, different beliefs and different cultures.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I say our care speaks for itself. Each time a client is happy with our services they tell the surgeon and begin sharing our services with other potential clients that are having surgery. Social media is huge for us.
