We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jeanna Lopez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jeanna below.
Jeanna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Building my business was a very big risk I took, and it did take a lot from me. Quitting my job, and betting on myself (several times, because you will never get it on the first) took a lot of mental strength. I ran into slow moments that turned into discouragement and then eventually at times…self defeat. Reminding myself of the goals i had, multiple passions I wanted to pursue, and the ability to make it happen is what pushed me through. I realized I had to meet a certain point in my life where I could be financially free, take care of my family and doing all the things I loved. Not just one thing I had a little passion for the rest of my life “stuck”. That is no way to live. You have to constantly PUSH.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
It has always been really important to me, all my life… to not struggle, and even though I have, I have always found a way out and building a business was the key to moving up. I picked the nail industry because not only was it extremely competitive, but it also makes clients feel so confident. There is something about having beautiful nails, long nails (for some), that is a next level sensation! Girls will even talk with their hands more. It’s a lifestyle. I provide acrylic nails, and gel nails. I have so many different colors, designs, and art! Being a private tech, nail clients come to me and can get away from their daily cup of life. A drama free, safe, secure environment where you can come spill all your tea and it will never leave. My ultimate goal is to make everyone leave feeling like their best selves. As far as growth, I am appreciative of the progress my business has made. The rollercoaster of emotions and not ever really knowing for sure where it was going, but here I am and I feel proud. I am not social media famous…yet! Lol
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Social media marketing and SEO’s have been a big way of me gaining clients. Promoting via social media also is a big help and quickly if needed. I have several clients I have met in person as well, even in the nightlife! Opportunity is everywhere.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I had a hard time growing up, as I grew up too fast. I went through a lot at a young age..which I feel like made the journey that much harder because I lacked a lot of tools that I really did need. However the older I got the clearer things got, life made more sense and I got to know myself and my own situations, which helped me make decisions, good decisions. You have to go through dark times to be able to see the sun. Everyday I am excited for the future, and for what it brings.
