Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jeanine Young Rn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jeanine, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I have always been interested in the aesthetic field and worked in several cosmetic surgery practices as a registered nurse. Investing in skin treatments, good skin products, and maintaining healthy skin habits have always been a priority. About 2 years ago I realized these passions and routines I had developed could be a potential business.
I took the leap and started my own aesthetic practice offering treatments, injectables, and skin care. My husband is an MD and my medical director. We have the opportunity to work together and collaborate to offer high quality, safe treatments in a comfortable setting.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have been a registered nurse for thirty years and have worked in several nursing specialties with an emphasis in aesthetic medicine. That experience has allowed me to offer treatments and interventions that allow people to feel good about themselves. I often say that people want their outer image to reflect how they feel inside and I hope I help them on that journey. I work closely with my patients to develop a plan to address issues they feel are a priority. I truly listen and then create a custom plan with support to help patients on their skin care journey.
I feel very comfortable being open and honest with patients to help guide their decision making and develop trust that I have their best interest at heart.
An example, is a patient who came in for a specific injection. After a consultation, the patient and I collaborate to go in a different direction because she needed facial balancing. She was very satisfied with the results so it was a win!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I have built my patient base by word of mouth, referrals, and reputation. I am honest and direct with patients during the consultation. I listen to what their concerns are and then collaborate to develop a plan that works within the patient’s skin goals and budget. I am always available for questions before, during, after the procedure. I develop trust with the patient and am invested in their overall skin care goals.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Being a lifelong learner has been a true asset to professional development and has allowed me to grow as a professional. I strongly believe in continued education and professional learning to allow me to improve and offer my patients a high level of services and results. I love making a positive impact in a patient’s life and have cultivated a strong referral base because of this emphasis on satisfaction.
