We recently connected with Jeanie Phimmasone and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeanie, thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I love getting my nails done. However I have eczema and sometimes that makes it hard. So by the 3rd day I’m ripping them off and cutting them down due to
the acrylics irritating my skin.
However, a couple years ago I went to get them done with a friend (shout out to Talena/NAILSBYHONCHO) that recently got certified doing nails and I’m all for supporting small business. I was impressed with her cute nail set up that it was making me reconsider going to beauty school.
Currently I’m a full time Mortgage Loan Originator, Personal Representative so enrolling in beauty school was difficult. In 2020 I found a beauty school that offered flexible hours after my full time job so I enrolled.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Lets see, I am 41 years old. Full time mom, Aries. Growing up I’ve always been artistic and surrounded by family that are also artistic as well. I started drawing anime, cartoon characters, then even drawing celebrities, family, and friends.
I never really stuck with any type of artistic niche. Even my personality itself is animated. I guess you can say anything I do or involve myself in, I have my own creative way of going about everything.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I started this vision of owning a nail salon and providing manicure services. I enrolled in Beauty School to become a Licensed Manicurist and found that beauty school wasn’t allowing me to fully express myself as an artist.
I realized not everyone has time or can wear nails due to work so I created a form of wearable art with JEANIECURES that others can appreciate. Now I am able to share my passion for art and beauty whether you’re a medical worker, on the go, or just flat out busy.
JEANIECURES customs reusable press on nails can give you that instant manicure look without the salon wait time and or prices. Along with the press on set JEANIECURES has a Nail & Cuticle Oil to compliment the manicure to give it that hydrated look. Ingredients include Vitamin E, Jojoba oil and Peach oil. I personally picked the mixture to help with eczema and mature skin.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able to see people wear my art on their special day, wether it be a wedding, birthday and or a dinner date. It’s nice to be able to capture a nice cheersing “boomerang” with a fresh custom set from JEANIECURES.
