Jeanette, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Face painting has already been around for so many years however for me, TikTok made it happen! I was scrolling through my For You Page and came across a talented face painting artist and immediately thought “I could do that!”. After having to have my thyroid removed due to cancer, I wanted to be able to find a source of income to help with the cost of medical bills yet still be able to be a stay at home mom to my boys. Plenty of research, practice and discovering that there is a definite need in Brevard County for professional face painters, I was in!

Jeanette, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

For those who don’t know me, I am Jeanette Price and I am the owner of Space Coast Face Painting, INC. I offer fun, professional body art services by creating beautiful designs and big smiles all along the Space Coast! My goal is to make your next event out of this world! I paint with an animated / cartoon style which seems to fit the demographic of the Space Coast well. Creativity has always been a huge part of my life from when I was a little girl. Once I got into makeup, my mind began to race with ideas and I began to see what I could transform into next! Time flew by and now I am a wife to my amazing husband and a mom of two wild boys who have helped bring back my creative drive! I strive for perfection and the utmost quality through the paints I use and the art I create. I offer my services for all of Brevard County, Florida with home base in Mims! I already have a year’s worth of birthday parties, festivals and corporate events under my brush and I am excited to see where this journey takes me!

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Word of mouth! I am a part of several Mommy groups on Facebook, my village in those groups have been super supportive by tagging myself and my business page in any upcoming event or post about an inquiry for a face painter. The first year of my business I would reach out to the hosts of upcoming events that I would find on Facebook to see if we could bring face painting to their event! I’m happy to say I had a great success rate with that strategy. I also had a car decal on my back windshield on my car and that led to a couple phone calls because they had seen me driving down I-95!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I believe there are a couple key factors that have helped grow my reputation within my market. I have to give props to my mother. She has been an outside sales woman in her career so I grew up watching her hustle and hearing her customer service when she spoke with customers on the phone. She truly helped shape my customer service experience that I give to my own clients. I also love being around kids! I dabbled in early childhood education in college which gave me a lot of knowledge with those littles! Ultimately, I show up early to my events, try to keep a clean and organized work station, and provide the best customer experience I can with each and every child and adult that hops into my chair!
