Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jeanette Coates. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jeanette , thanks for joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
Growth. Grace. Purpose.
Whew my Defining Moment:
This season… It was sacred. God has been gently (and sometimes not so gently) walking me through a journey of healing, surrender, and undeniable transformation. The late-night cries, the silent battles, the whispered prayers—He heard every single one. And now, I’m standing in the beauty of answered prayers I once only dreamed of.
So many had been asking, “Coach, why haven’t you posted?” or “Where’s your voice been?” The truth? God called me inward. He asked me to pause—to heal, to release, to be stripped of anything not aligned with where He’s taking me. Even the pieces I thought I needed to hold on to… He asked for those too.
And so, I surrendered.
And in that surrender, something new was born.
BEE YOU Designing Your Purpose Life Coaching Services will now be Echos of Purpose Life Coaching Services.
Because in this season, I’ve learned: our stories, our pain, our silent prayers… they echo. And those echoes, when surrendered to God, can be transformed into something deeply meaningful. Something that speaks life, healing, and purpose—not just for us, but for others, too.
And even in this resurrection, I am no longer hiding behind nicknames or titles.
Not Net Coates.
Not your favorite 600-second coach.
I am Master Certified Life Coach Jeanette Coates.
The mask is off, and I am fully who He has called me to be.
This isn’t just a rebrand. It’s a resurrection. A reflection of a heart finally being made whole, a voice reclaimed, and a purpose refined by fire.
I’m ready to walk with you—to help you turn every echo into purpose.
This time, it’s personal.
With love, grace, and a heart on fire,
Master Certified Life Coach Jeanette Coates

Jeanette , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi, I’m Jeanette Coates a Master Certified Life Coach, infant loss survivor, suicide survivor, and warrior living with Congestive Heart Failure, Endometriosis, and PCOS. But more than anything, I am a person who has survived and thrived after multiple battles with life’s toughest challenges.
I’ve faced some of the darkest times imaginable—struggling with mental health issues, battling multiple chronic illnesses, and enduring the heartbreak of losing a child. Yet, through all of this, I’ve learned that no matter how heavy life gets, healing is possible, and there is always hope.
I’ve survived three suicide attempts, and it was during the last one that I heard a voice—God’s voice—saying, “Just Breathe.” Those words became my lifeline, reminding me that no matter how painful life gets, I could find peace in the present moment. That simple but profound message—Just Breathe—became my mantra, my path to healing, and eventually led me to being a life coach over 6 years ago and helping you Just Breathe while walking in your purpose is my mission.
Living with Congestive Heart Failure and the chronic pain of Endometriosis and PCOS has been a fight every single day, but I’ve learned that these conditions don’t define me. I’ve found strength in vulnerability, and I’ve embraced the power of living in the now—just breathing, no matter how overwhelming it feels.
I am blessed to be married to the love of my life, Tramaine Coates, and to be a proud Bonus Mom and God Mom. My family and faith and trust in God has been my foundation, and I am truly grateful for the constant support and love they give me. I’m a product of mommy’s prayers, and I give all thanks to God for saving me and guiding me through the darkest moments of my life.
After hearing about so many suicides and reading about the way people are bullied for struggling with ideations and mental health challenges, I finally said, “Enough is enough.” Echos of Purpose Life Coaching Foundation was created from raw emotions, God stripping me, praying and worshipping, most importantly a deep desire to make a difference. I remember telling my pastor, “Enough is enough. It’s bigger than just one month, and I’m going to do something about it.” That was when I knew—God renewed my purpose to me, and I understood the true meaning of my life.
As a coach, I don’t teach from a textbook. I coach from life, from experience, and from a place of raw transparency. I know what it feels like to be trapped in your own head, to feel like you’re not enough, and to think there’s no way out. But I also know what it feels like to break free from those chains and begin to believe in yourself again.
Echos of Purpose Life Coaching Foundation was created to help people—whether they’re struggling with mental health, battling invisible illnesses, or simply feeling lost—find their breath and rediscover their strength. My mission is to meet you where you are, guide you with compassion, and provide you with the tools to not just survive, but thrive.
In addition to coaching, I have founded Echos of Purpose Life Coaching Foundation to raise awareness for suicide prevention, mental health struggles, child loss grief, and invisible disabilities. I want to help break the stigma surrounding mental health, and create a world where no one has to face these struggles alone.
My Approach:
I coach from a place of truth and empathy, uncut and grace using tools and strategies that are practical and rooted in my own journey. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, chronic illness, child loss or just a general feeling of being stuck, I am here to show you that healing is possible, and you are worthy.
If you’ve ever felt like giving up or like you don’t have the strength to keep going, I want you to know that you do. I’ve been there. And I am living proof that with the right support, you can find hope, clarity, and peace—one breath at a time.
Together, we can breathe through the pain, overcome the obstacles, and believe in the possibility of a better tomorrow.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Being a life coach requires more than just proper training and knowledge — it demands authenticity and transparency. I’ve come to understand that when people seek support, they’re often in a deeply vulnerable place. They’re not just looking for advice; they’re searching for someone they can trust, someone who sees them without judgment. Transparency builds that trust. It allows clients to feel safe, understood, and empowered to open up and grow. In this work, real connection comes from being genuine — showing up as your whole self so others feel safe to do the same.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
If I could go back in time, without a doubt, I would choose to become a life coach all over again. This path hasn’t just been a profession — it’s been a journey of self-discovery, healing, and purpose. Through coaching, I found clarity in my own struggles and a deeper understanding of who I am. But even more profoundly, it has allowed me to stand beside others during some of the most vulnerable chapters of their lives.
I’ve had the honor of meeting some of the strongest, most resilient souls — not at their highest, but at their lowest. And still, their strength shines through. I don’t say it often, but I truly believe that every client I’ve worked with has been God-sent. In walking with them, in doing the work to support their growth, I too am being shaped, healed, and guided by something greater. This calling continues to bless me just as much as I hope to bless others.
