We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jean Velems Altidor a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jean Velems, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’ve love to hear an interesting investment story – what was one of the best or worst investments you’ve made? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)
My best investment was when i removed myself from what society put around me. Communities love to put people they’re protecting around me so they can dig up information about me. You know, start fights , arguments , just personal issues in general. My best investment , was when i made sure to report all these “incidents” sent by some barntown residents who wanna put their favorite gremlins around me. Not only that , the communities enjoy asking me where their planted persons are. My best investment. was making sure people know they deserve to have what they have done , be done to them.
My best investment , was making sure i don’t end up in certain rooms due to lack of resources. Resources kept hidden to make sure i don’t develop myself as a person as they send their distractions. The society that wants me to remember their offerings, refusing to take no as an answer, so it can take what it wants. I want it to get what it has done. My best investment? it’s yet to pay off.
My worst investment however, was something i could not refuse. & It wants to keep force feeding me with their poisons. Perhaps i should show up already eating , so they know i don’t care for their celebrations. I will celebrate when it’s finished.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Jean Velems Altidor. Haitian Descent. As a business major , i always wanted to run a company. I watched shows like the apprentice , to see how some of the greats have gotten the opportunity to work for business moguls. There was an era for that, when shows made people compete for real business achievements. I was first a soccer player , that was my focus , it was a gift from a friend of my family. however , i also made beats and wrote poems.
Piano was the first instrument I played but i don’t read music anymore. One day , at church , there was a play & i was chosen. Best feeling ever. I decided to continue to make beats, my neighbor hooked it up with a labtec speaker and some packs and plugins. I would not consider myself in the entertainment industry because most of it is recycled strategies and songs. But outside the entertainment side, personal problems arose from a society flooding with money talk & ego boost. So it puts people around me to dig for information about me, which they do behind closed doors, along with much disrespect coming from their gremlins. Once i reported all their doings , not only did authorities do nothing , but they told me i need to stay away. May i remind you , these people are the ones sending me invites to keep me around after they take their cheap shots when they force themselves close enough. Like claustrophobic , close.
What i am most proud of , is knowing that barntown did all that & they expect their karma to skip their bloodlines. I went and got my trademark and i watch how what they put around me is copying my every move. My advice to anyone , when people try to get around you , make sure you get their legit information because these people send “strangers” to run their unfinished business for the, and again , expect their bloodline to be blessed. Tony Fresco is trademarked despite all these imitators who claimed to be me, my brand. I watched all these so called “celebrities” create “stars” who don’t show up to back up their claims made in person. Which i hope happens to whoever they did that for. This has been going on since i moved to GA.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The “letting it slide” method. Someone’s son keeps causing problems and his guardians are backing him up on his fables. I see how the community wants me to say nothing when their residue gets out of line. Now imagine after 10+ years of some neighborhood cliques belittling me and then once i stand up for myslef , it’s angry. “don’t do that” , “no”.
May i remind you , these are the same people that want to act like they are friends of mine. The same people that community not only brought around me , but kept asking me about. It’s strategy is simple , it invites you somewhere because i feels like it can disrespect you. When their comesnacthes get handles , then they wanna ask what happened. Like their plants have never crossed the same lines it stole along with countless blueprints. All i know is when i brought it to the correct room , i was the only one who showed up and then it sent some arabic munch to come press me, Reported that and now that’s no longer causing me issues.
However , the other son they brought around me because ” i remind them (His family) of him” still wants to have him constantly verbally assault my being. I’m seeing how it’s forcing their son into my existence so he can assault and embarrass me. I take it personal now. Not only that , it’s dropping breadcrumbs once it sends it’s “fighter” at me after he ran his mouth for whatever he came out of. Calling me all type of “n*gg*r. But if he gets filled i bet they’ll get involved then.
North Paulding High School , not only accused me of something the barnetown it’s located in got away with. It did everything it could to bring my spirits down , asking me about their planted persons. I’m sure it’s the one who stole my academy bag and chain. Both , which is worth more than whoever did all that. & now some arabic fighter wants to play UFC when i’m clearly ready to move forward. I requested for him to call his department to the gym so we can have this discussion in the correct room . . . he went ghost after trying one last attack , this time with his buddy , who was the fired after i reported his actions. So this means , i must check into a mental hospital and tell them this person is trying to cause serious problems . . . they call it paranoia. I disagree heavily.
It’s not peaches and cream over here, i constantly have to make sure i don’t lose my cool and do to it what it’s acting like it didn’t do. I hope his department finds something better for us both.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Ever been stalked and investigated? These people offered me citizenship and they aren’t even government officials. Fighting back is not my last resort. These people really forced someone’s daughter into my existence , helped it get away with more than it talks about and then it want to be absent to really come converse their accusations. I did not bother even getting representation. Honestly , it’s too many of them to count but i know what they are not. The same society who pushes you until it makes you into a criminal for striking back. You should’ve seen middle school. MOSES MIDDLE SCHOOL, where they gave me bus suspension for cussing back at people who were being rude. For the most part, School was straight until it sent their favorite at me.
Everyone insisted on their favors then wanted me to date their neighborhood friend. Once it saw i was down after it made sure to put itself around me, here goes their offers individually. Here’s some food , you can have it if you say he (their son) is better. Clearly it thinks the stomach is the way to my heart, but i have none for it. Same people who say i’m not one of them, are the same ones demanding i put them in the music business, i’m not p. diddy. There was another offer where it told me to put a child in whoever’s daughter it put around me and constantly kept asking me about these people. Seriously , it kept me from eating all day and then put a subway footlong in front of me and told me i can have it if i say their”son” is better. Clearly , it takes a dark turn for the worst. Then finally , we have the famous twins keeping their relative around me for questioning but still wont send their paperwork to run it in the correct room. & their relative is being kept close as well. The same area who never gave me a chance is forcing me to eat it’s food so i wont put them in their place.. Off their property , much different story.
