We were lucky to catch up with Jean, Rachel, Anna Marino, Pope, Myers recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jean, Rachel, Anna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share an anecdote or story from your schooling/training that you feel illustrates what the overall experience was like?
Every day in the office at least one woman asks, “why didn’t anyone tell me about this?” There are so many conflicting messages and misinformation, we would like to be a resource for women and provide information they can trust.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We are a dynamic team of three passionate women’s health experts committed to transforming the perception of menopause into a positive and empowering experience. Menopause, a natural phase of life, should not be accompanied by unnecessary suffering from symptoms. Our mission is to provide comprehensive education and unwavering support within a secure environment. We delve into both hormonal and non-hormonal options, ensuring women have access to a wide range of choices.
What sets us apart is our expertise not only in menopause but also in women’s sexual health. We recognize the significant interplay between menopause and sexual well-being, making us uniquely positioned to address both aspects. Through our online and in-person retreats, we create a nurturing space where women can find solace, share their experiences, and seek answers alongside others who are navigating similar journeys.
To further assist women on their menopausal voyage, our website boasts a trusted resource library. Here, women can access a wealth of information curated to provide reliable guidance. Additionally, we proudly offer a thoughtfully curated online store featuring personal massagers and a delightful “welcome to menopause” box. These products not only celebrate this natural transition but also serve as a reminder that reaching menopause is a blessing to be cherished.
Join us on this transformative journey, and let’s embrace menopause as the normal, natural phenomenon it is. Together, we can redefine the narrative and empower women to embrace this stage of life with grace, confidence, and joy.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The 3 of us have a deep respect for each other and the work that we do in our individual clinics. The idea to come together was not only because of a mutual passion for women’s health, but also a shared drive and willingness to work. We check in with each other once a week and celebrate any successes for our business. We are constantly brainstorming other ideas and goals and by writing them all down on paper, even the lofty goals, drives us further. We also recognize the need to take the occasional week off and/or the need to get together just to have fun. Setting deadlines, having weekly meeting, and agreed upon goals has kept us on track.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
We are constantly adopting and changing our menopause retreats to find the best option for women. We also survey our participants for their feedback. Our first retreat was enjoyable, but we felt it wasn’t as personal and “warm” as we wanted it to be. We changed our next retreat from sitting around a table, to sitting in couches and chairs around a fireplace. We still discussed menopause and sexual health, but we also had a lively discussion about our thoughts on lingerie and ate snacks that were supposed to be aphrodisiacs.
