We were lucky to catch up with Jc Mason recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, JC thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I just want to be remembered as a kind person. I try my best to work with clients on pricing, make sure they’re comfortable and happy, etc. The world doesn’t have enough positivity, so I try to add what I can.

JC, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I found photography pretty young, I was always the type to take the photos instead of being in them. I loved being able to do that for the people I was around. I work my hardest to make sure my clients are as comfortable as they can be with me, whether that be in the studio, at a gig, in a park, etc. I think that’s also what I’m most proud of. I’ve had quite a few people tell me I was easy to work with, kind, considerate, things like that. I never want someone to leave feeling like they didn’t get amazing photos or have an amazing experience.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
My work is definitely my release. It’s not often someone can say that honestly, but I luckily can. Every time I’m working with someone, I get to work WITH them. I get to be creative, make someone feel good, make them feel seen. I absolutely love that about my job.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Definitely still a side hustle, but I hope to one day change that. Photography is everything to me, and being able to do that full time sounds like the dream.
