Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to J’Bria Iyalla. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
J’Bria, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Coming from a home where all I heard was negative comments. Always being told that I was not going to be anything. Struggling with my self esteem. Being in a very long, toxic relationship. I want to help others that have dealt with trauma understand there is more to life. Their current situation is not their final destination.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Luxe Eighty. Not just a brand. It’s a lifestyle. It had been an idea of mine since 2015. I wanted to help women get back to their “sexier self”. By the end of 2020, I had gone through a divorce. It was a rough time, yet it was so freeing. It was at that moment that I needed to find out who I was. Through therapy and self work, I had finally regained my confidence. I knew what it took. I knew that I was not the only woman out here. During that time, I birthed Luxe Eighty. Through your trauma and your pain, you will find your purpose. I provide a safe space for individuals to come to. We focus on self love love, People go through so much and feel as if they are alone or that they are the only ones with a certain insecurity. That isn’t true. I provide self love exercises and resources. The sessions, Self Love & Mimosas, gets everyone open to speak about the traumas and insecurities that try to overcome them. We laugh, we cry, we uplift each other. The sessions end on a lighter note by adding in a little dance and fun moment. At the end of my sessions, my clients feel lighter. They leave feeling more empowered.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I have noticed that most of my clients come from word of mouth with other organizations around the area. And also networking at entrepreneur workshops.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
My most effective strategy has actually been networking and finding my audience. I attend entrepreneur meet ups and work the room. I introduce myself to other businesses and find ways to partner with them.
