We were lucky to catch up with Jazzreeal Le’tease recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jazzreeal, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The legacy I hope to build is one rooted in healing, resilience, and empowerment. I want people to say that through my words, my story, and my work, I gave others permission to believe in themselves again. That I showed it’s possible to rise from pain, to love yourself fully, and to walk boldly in your purpose. I want to be remembered not just as an author, but as someone who helped others reconnect with their own worth, their own light. You, Empowered is more than a book — it’s a reflection of that legacy, a living reminder that no matter where you come from or what you’ve faced, you are powerful beyond measure.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Jazzreeal Le’tease, and I am the author and founder behind You, Empowered. For those meeting me for the first time, my journey hasn’t been easy — but it’s been powerful. I come from a background filled with adversity: growing up in Compton, California, surviving personal traumas and building myself back together.
I entered the world of writing and empowerment because I knew what it felt like to struggle silently and to question your worth. I wanted to create something I wish I had during my darkest moments: a true guide, a conversation, a sisterhood in written form. That’s what You, Empowered is. it’s a full-on experience designed to heal, uplift, and awaken your inner strength.
Beyond the book, my brand is expanding into curated products such as yoga sets and bundle gift sets and exclusive merchandise that align with self-love, personal growth, and empowerment. Every product is thoughtfully crafted to inspire confidence, reflection, and joy… creating experiences that resonate deeply with readers and supporters on their journey to becoming their highest selves.
The problems I solve are deeply emotional and personal. I help women (and men) heal from past wounds, reclaim their power, set healthy boundaries, and redefine what success and happiness look like for themselves. I offer a safe space for people who have felt overlooked, broken, or forgotten to finally see their value and live boldly.
What sets me apart is authenticity. I don’t preach from a pedestal, I walk this journey right alongside my audience. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. Instead, I offer my real experiences, hard-earned wisdom, and daily commitment to growth and resilience as a mirror to reflect what’s possible for others. My tone is real, relatable, and raw because I believe healing requires honesty, love, and connection.
What I’m most proud of is turning my pain into purpose. I am proud that You, Empowered has already touched lives, sparked conversations, and reminded readers that they are enough — exactly as they are.
If there’s one thing I want potential readers, clients, and followers to know, it’s this:
You are not alone. You are not broken. You are becoming. And you deserve a life full of love, purpose, and unapologetic joy.
You, Empowered was created with you in mind — and this is only the beginning.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What helped me build my reputation was being real and staying true to my mission. I didn’t try to create a brand that looked “perfect.” I created something that felt real. I shared my truth openly, from the pain I survived to the healing I’m still walking through. That transparency made people feel seen, not judged. You, Empowered was built on connection, not image.
Consistency, authenticity, and heart have been the foundation. I show up with intention, whether it’s through my writing, my products, or how I interact with my audience. I think people can sense when something comes from a real place, and that’s what sets the tone for lasting impact and loyalty.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was thinking that survival was enough. For a long time, I believed that just getting through the day, pushing through the pain, and keeping everything bottled up was real strength. I thought if I was not struggling, I was not working hard enough.
That belief came from growing up in an environment where vulnerability was seen as weakness. I learned early to hide my emotions because showing them could make you a target. What I did not realize until much later was that surviving is not the same as living. True strength is not just about enduring pain. It is about choosing to heal, choosing to thrive, and allowing yourself to experience joy without guilt.
You, Empowered was born from that unlearning. It is my way of giving myself and others permission to want more than survival. We deserve wholeness
