We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jazzmin Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jazzmin below.
Alright, Jazzmin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew I was different. Growing up life was just different for me. I was loved, hated , bullied , and even popular in a unique way.
Although I wanted to be a part of the “it” crowd . I knew in my heart I was destined to show the world a different side of authenticity.
For me it was the process of building the confidence and the courage to genuinely be myself unapologetically. Once I got that (years later) it worked heavily in my favor.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Well, my name is Jazzmin Raine . I am a motivational speaker , worship leader , youth mentor, and mental health advocate.
I’ve always enjoyed helping others . That’s my passion , my love language , and the only thing that makes me truly feel my best .
When I sing , I love giving people an experience they can heal and feel through.
When I’m on stage i give my most raw and authentic self so that I can show the world that who you are “truly” is what’s gold .
When I speak to the youth , I’m raw and cut throat , I give my life’s ups and downs so that they can see that perfection is not what made me , so they can see that they can overcome many obstacles through there trials and tribulations and that that are not suppose to be stagnant through there trials.
When I speak on mental health , I share my experience from my troubled mental health journey starting form a child and really peaking after my divorce.
How I choose daily to fight all forms of anxiety, depression , suicidal ideations, and insomnia. Where therapy and holistic changes helped me learn how to take control of my mind and my spirit.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Watching my children strive to be a light for others . My children are very proud of me and what I do in the community and at home . My son whom is 6 years old arrives daily to be a beacon of help for other people and speaks life into so many around him .
And my beautiful daughter whom is 4 is such a girls girl and is so motivating to other young girls. She is always trying to spread love with a huge or a simple “you’re so pretty” comment .
I enjoy showing my children that being a kind person is the key to life and watching them embody that.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Providing safe spaces to be . Encouraging others places and opportunities to express. We focus very heavily on mainstream talent when we have so many way makers around us.
Supporting small businesses , sharing flyers, going to local events on free time, overall investing in our youth and the people around them .
