We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jazmine Lewis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jazmine below.
Jazmine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
I learned how much of an impact you have to be in this thing called life and it can be anything as long as you are proud of yourself. For me life is a risk whether you’re graduating from school, starting a job or career, becoming an entrepreneur, healing, etc. When you want to be the best version of yourself you’re taking a risk to make that happen. You’re always trying to be a better version of the you yesterday.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am just a regular girl living a regular life however I want so much for myself. I want to be success but in my ways not society way. I graduated high school, did some college but couldn’t afford it so I didn’t finish it. I tried cosmetology school right after leaving college and got a 9-5 job, first job being Dunkin Donuts. I always wanted to be someone meaning successful, make myself proud. I just didn’t know my place in life, I was figuring it out and mostly on my own. Fast forward a few years later, I’m still working regular jobs like cashier at a grocery store, restaurant, security etc again still trying to find where I can retire, grow, and love and entrepreneurship just fell in my lap. I started a YouTube channel and now my IG and TikTok are blessings in disguise because they are platforms I also use for entrepreneurship to grow my brand which is me. I’ve had brand collabs and I got them from being organically me. Imagine what I can do for myself if I keep going, keep God first and believe in myself. I have so many business ideas I also want to start up. I want to break generational curses and also show the world you can do whatever you put your mind and grind to and on your own journey. You can be successful in things you love to do not just like and it doesn’t have to be the “normal” way of success.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I never ever give up despite my stress, my depression I was going through a time period in my life, heartbreak, doubt, worry, fear. I never gave up. I always get back up when I get knocked down and these days more then ever I’m close with God and getting closer and that alone will get me exactly where I’m supposed to be. I have faith and I believe.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
See I had my social medias before it was this big deal to be on social media. I been gaining my followers since early 2000’s. However TikTok is the most newest. I made my account in June of 2019 if I’m not mistaking. All I do is post. All my content is similar, it’s not all over the place, messy, drama filled. Any of my social handles for that matter. I’m more consistent than ever but still take breaks when needed. My accounts look very professional and just going to keep getting better. I’m just me and people can relate and even if they can’t they still respect it.
