Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jazmin Jimenez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jazmin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

For starters I always knew I wanted to be in beauty, and wellness. As long as I can remember I was playing with makeup, learning new techniques, and making the best out of it. Tilll one day, I went to do my hair this vibrant blue like the rockstar I am, and my hairstylist basically learned my life story as the hair process to almost 10 hours. She was the one to suggest, well if you’re already in love with beauty and makeup, why not add hair to the roster. Lightbulb! It was almost too perfect to think of bringing all the things I love together, and also making it into a living. So in reality I always knew I was going to be a creative, just didn’t know how to project it unto the world. Plus, hair and makeup are just the bread and butter that I love, but I sing, model, and dance as well. Creative all around, and very proud to be showcasing my art in every way I can.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I am a stylist, creative, and Artist all in one. Born and raised in Miami, from cuban decent the fire has always been within me. Makeup was already a love of mine growing up, and an old hairstylist of mine suggested to go into cosmetology and get hair professionalism in the mix too. Honestly, I couldn’t think of a better way to do what I love for the rest of my life. My first love will always be makeup and also my favorite to do, however I also have expertise in styling, cutting, coloring and lightning, braiding, weddings, photoshoots, behind the scenes, and eyebrows. I love that my clients come to me for any event whether it be a daytime event, or a night time gala. I always make sure that I accent the best features, and bring out the glow of the client. I’m also a very efficient stylist, and I like to please my client to the best of my ability when being asked for a certain service or style. However, I do have integrity and my main goal is to always maintain the health of the hair, and communicating with the client to achieve her wanted end goal. I am most proud of the fact that I genuinely do what I love for a living, and with that being said most of my clientele I made because of the love I put into my work, and it shows, they value it, and it just gives me even more hunger to keep pursuing and striving to grow and become better for my clients, as well as myself.

: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

I read something once that resonated with me, and it mentioned something along the lines of the fact that you should never attach yourself to a place, person or job, rather attach yourself to a goal or purpose. Those words have stayed with me since I read them and for that reason, I’ve never been disappointed by a person, place or job. My purpose or goal, is to make women feel good about themselves whether they want a whole face of glam, or just some blush, and some lashes. the extra, the simplicity, and the in between I love it all if I know that that’s what My client wants, and it will make her happy. That glow women get when they are inspired, hyped up, and supported or complimented by another women is amazing. I’m also all for women empowerment, and I think that we should help each other out more and support each other rather than bringing other women down or competing against each other. That smile at the end is always gold for me, and that is my purpose. To make sure every woman that passes through my chair feels like she could conquer the world when she gets up from my chair.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect for me is probably the fact that I could come into work, and know that I put my all into making sure that whether I just did the clients hair or makeup, was their therapist for the hour she was with me, or just made them feel a little better, I know that I put some love into the world and that person that day. Doing my best, to the best of my knowledge everyday, for all my clients.
