Jazmin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Perseverance, faith in yourself, and patience. I think those are three of the main things that will help you be successful, perseverance because you have to keep fighting for the goal you have put yourself to achieve not giving up every time you fall. Faith is so important because if you don’t believe in yourself and what you believe in than who will? And patience because most of the time we humans expect big things to happen fast but the truth is that it’s not always like that we have to learn to be patient and with time your time to shine will come. Those are the three main things that I’ve learned throughout my life, many times I have fallen but my faith, perseverance, and patience always bring me back up stronger.
Jazmin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I wanted to have a place where all my Disney fans can find something unique. I custom make items like phone grips, Disney inspired headbands and have my production team help me bring my visions to life as well. Every piece I create or gets thought about comes from the heart and gets made with lots of love. I also have items like pillows, hats, earrings and soon blankets. I’m trying to make a combination of items I make with my own hands and things production creates for me, I want my small shop to have items that come from me so that in every piece my customers can see my dedication and the love I put to each order. I try to bring the best I can to every request that is made so I can bring a smile to my clients face when they receive their items.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
You have to stay up to date with what trend is happening or what song has been used a lot to be able to get your reel or post out there. You also have to be very creative with your content the first 5 seconds of your video have to be the best because remember that your phone remembers what you like so if you attract your audience within the first 5 seconds that means more people will look at your video.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Not yet, but I’m hoping that in a near future it will be. I would like to have thousands of orders that I have to get ready to ship. That would be my American dream, my mom brought me here from Mexico when I was 6 years old I have gone through being an immigrant and getting my cars taken away because I didn’t have my green card but that never stopped me. I went to school and finished my dental assistant program and later on became a resident and studied to get my California state registered license. After a few years I went back to school and received my associates in business administration and recently back in 2022 I had the honor to get my bachelors degree in Human Resources Management. The bumps in the road have never stopped me they have always worked in my favor because they just push me to become better. My next goal is to have my small shop be my main income and say I have made my American dream!
