Hi Jazeera, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My love for tea began as a child growing up in Kazakhstan. Kazakhs are serious tea drinkers! Tea is served with all meals and snacks during the day, so you cannot escape it – tea and hospitality are a part of Kazakh culture.
Austin is my new home, and I realized that tea drinking is not a big part of American life, and finding a quality loose leaf tea was a challenge. It was not so much the tea itself I was missing, but the cherished moments that this wholesome drink brings. I wanted to bring the tradition and delicious accessibility of premium teas to Austin—and beyond.
And so, the spirit behind the endeavor of Humming Cup Premium Organic Teas came to life. At Humming Cup, our customers can purchase different varieties of amazing premium quality loose leaf teas from all over the world. We promote tea drinking for self-care and offer tea party catering services for our customers.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
To be responsible and sustainable is what identifies my company. The high quality of our tea promotes health without the harmful effects of pesticides and fertilizers. Our pyramid tea bags do not contain nylon and they are made of biodegradable cornstarch.
We are committed to strive to find ways to promote fair working conditions for our farmers. So we are partnering exclusively with companies and tea estates that create and maintain a high level of support for farmers and their families. I am very proud that we have strong local partnerships with FarmHouse Delivery and Farm Box Delivery. And we are planning to expand our product line to more tea varieties and other markets in the US in coming years.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Humming Cup Tea is a very customer-centric company and it is very important for us to develop and maintain strong connections with our clients. We are very active on social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. This helps us build awareness around our brand, and connect with our followers and customers. When our customers sign up for our newsletter we send them emails about our newest promotions, blog updates, and useful tips about tea.
Brand loyalty comes from creating the best experience for our customers. We ship our orders as soon as possible and we promptly help our customers solve their issues. Very often our customers recommend our products to others and send our teas to their clients, friends, and family members. We also have a rewards program on our website that helps our customers to earn points for sharing about our business with others.
How did you build your audience on social media?
It took me a long time to build our audience on Instagram. When I just started I didn’t know how social media works. And it took me several years to build my social media presence to what it is now. Over time I learned how to create engaging posts, reels, use hashtags and optimize my bio description in order to grow my account.
To grow an audience on Instagram it is important to understand your customers’ needs and create relevant and valuable posts for your audience. You can choose to use images or video reels. But it’s necessary that your posts lead your audience to the desire to learn more about your brand. So you need to pay attention to the amount of likes and comments that your posts get to improve the quality of your content. If you notice that some posts perform better than others you can use paid promotion to reach more people to follow your page.
In addition to the high quality content you need to use fifteen to thirty relevant hashtags and clear bio description. This allows Instagram to recommend your page to other potential followers and improve your reach.
Consistency helps to stay on top of your audience’s mind so planning your marketing posts in advance and using scheduling software like Later or Hootsuite will allow you to post regularly.
Overall, I think that quality content and improving your posts are the key to growing on Instagram and other social media platforms. Great engaging content will capture people’s attention and they will be more likely to follow you and buy from your brand.
