Jayquan , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge to profitability is managing the cost of the food to the ratio of people the best way to insure you have the needed funds but still make your living by creating a solid price menu also with the understanding you’ll have to adjust it according ti market price as we all know food has jumped tremendously.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
So I got into the industry officially not to long after attending and completing my courses with the Art institute of Charleston I’ve always had a thing for cooking and it always has fascinated me even as a kid. I typically provide services of catering to small parties and or date nights Valentine’s Day and birthday dinner but I have a few clients who have tooken me in to provide them with meal preps to make their day to day lives easier. I am most proud of myself for always seeing a vision of some sort and doing the absolute best to stick to it even through the cloudy spots where it seems impossible. I want potential clients to know that whatever you desire we strive to make sure you eat like royalty after all We aren’t named golden throne for no reason we all deserve ti eat like royalty at some point in life we also customize menus to fit your tastebuds so check us out.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One if the biggest lessons I learned in business is do not provide work without payment I’ve unfortunately done some gigs where I’ve tooken the time to prep and provide the best service to my ability and was met with confusion when it’s time to receive funding.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy that has helped me alot with building client was proving excellent service and Also keeping fresh content retaining to the business I would make reels of meals I’ve provided or even cooked for myself just to showcase what can be given it’s an understanding to me how we as humans eat with our senses we start with the eyes and then venture to smell so when someone sees this food that looks delicious in the mind now their enticed to want to try it.
