Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jaynard Carter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jaynard thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The Story Behind My Mission: Empowering Immigrants Through Knowledge
When I reflect on my immigration journey, one thought consistently resonates: If only I had known then what I know now. Navigating the immigration process was a daunting, confusing, and often overwhelming experience. The lack of guidance and accessible information left me feeling lost, vulnerable, and uncertain about my future. It was in those moments of uncertainty that the seeds of my mission were planted.
Today, as the Chief Executive Officer of Carter Immigration LLC, I have dedicated my life to making sure no immigrant feels as isolated or uninformed as I once did. My mission is simple: to educate, empower, and guide immigrants through the complexities of the U.S. immigration system so they can take control of their futures with confidence.
The heart of my work is education because I firmly believe that knowledge is power. When immigrants understand the process—whether it’s seeking asylum, adjusting their status, or applying for a green card—they become active participants in shaping their lives. Every workshop I lead, every application I review, and every strategy session I hold is rooted in the principle that access to information can transform lives.
My passion for this work also comes from a deep connection to the immigrant experience. I know the fears and sacrifices firsthand. I know the resilience it takes to start over in a foreign country. This understanding drives me to serve my community with compassion and integrity, ensuring that immigrants not only receive the help they need but also feel feel supported and valued throughout their journey.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
**About Me and How I Got Into Immigration Work**
Hello, I’m Jay Carter, CEO of Carter Immigration LLC/Immigration Annex, ECP. My journey into the immigration field stems from my own personal experience as an immigrant. Navigating the complex and often overwhelming U.S. immigration system was one of the most challenging times in my life. The lack of accessible information and guidance left me feeling lost and unsure of my future. It was during those difficult moments that I realized no one should have to go through this process alone. That realization inspired my mission to empower and educate other immigrants, so they could face their journeys with confidence and clarity.
The U.S. immigration system can be daunting, with its intricate policies, timelines, and documentation requirements. We solve the problem of confusion and uncertainty by breaking down the process into clear, manageable steps. What sets us apart is our personalized approach—each client’s case is handled with compassion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to their success. I also firmly believe in the power of education; when immigrants understand the system, they are better equipped to advocate for themselves and their families.
**What I’m Most Proud Of**
One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing the transformation in my customers—from feeling overwhelmed to becoming confident participants in shaping their futures. Every success story, every family reunited, and every individual who secures their place in this country reaffirms why we do what we do.
**What I Want Clients to Know About Us**
Carter Immigration is more than just a legal service provider; we’re a community, a support system, and a guide. My mission is to ensure no immigrant feels alone or uninformed. When you work with us, you’ll find not just professional expertise but also genuine compassion and a shared commitment to your success. Let’s navigate this journey together, and together, let’s build the future you deserve.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Best source for New clients is social media and word of mouth from the ones that I have already helped in their journey.

Any advice for managing a team?
When managing an team you must ensure that the team feels as if they are apart of the process as not just another number. Each persons understand the role they play and how it impacts the overall vision and mission of the company. This is done through consistent meetings as team not just about the work but to recognize the whole man – and how the company can be apart of the success of the whole man. We also recognize and reward our team members for good work and their achievements.
