We recently connected with Jaymes Butler and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jaymes thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
International television and film actor Jaymes Butler . His dream to work in the film business began at the early age of 8 years old. He would create and perform backyard shows for the neighborhood “Rug Rats”. His love for the stage began to develop, at Redlands High school under the direction Mrs Billie Daniels (A.K.A Mrs D) .
She was more than a teacher but served as a sub mother figure for him as well. OLD “Old lady Daniels ” as we would call her was the influence that Jaymes needed to get his career moving in the right direction. While still in Highschool Jaymes landed his first paid performance job at Disney. He tried his hand at Stand -up and varitiy of plays which lead to some small roles in varies Television series and shows. He then went on to being a stunt performer / actor in Major cinema productions. Working with the best directors , such as Oliver Stone, Roman Polanski . Spielberg , Paul Anderson and many others.
His biggest fan and supporter, is his sister Tonya L Butler. Jaymes life took a turn after his military career and he found himself in Germany where he worked at the Bavaria film studio as a stunt performer. One thing lead to another and suddenly he was fulfilling his dream in the Television & film business . None of these wouldn’t have been possible without the help from so many special people he met along the way. These individuals helped me carve his path.
and he will be always grateful.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

They was a break in his career when he joined the Military services and that experience would be a great assest. The military taught him discipline and help develop many skills that he would use later. After his military career Jaymes found himself in Germany where he worked at the Bavaria film studio as a stunt performer. One thing lead to another and suddenly he was fulfilling his dream, of having a career in the film Business . None of this wouldn’t have been possible without the help from so many special people that he met along his journey. Too many names to mention but they know who they are and these individuals are the key factor in carving my path to persue a career in the film business, without thier help and loving frienship, none of this could have been possible. and I am forever grateful .
My credit list includes working with Oliver Stone in the film Snowden , Zach Gregger in Babarian , Roman Polanski in Ghost Writer , Spielberg , Paul Anderson Resident Evil , Rainer Matustani in Spides etc
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
What society can best do : For one be Human support Mankind , which means BE KIND ! It’s not rock science . Just do the right thing in your small circle and do it with kindness. We as a society have for some reason become cold and polorized by outside influence .
The best way to support artist is to get involved in art. ” Be part of putting the colors in the rainbow”
The ecosystem is also a easy fix. Consume less and stop cutting down the rain forest!
I am not telling anyone to give up some of your pleasures not at all but just consume less.
Go back to the egg !
For example; Eat one or twice a week meat . That how we did it when I was a child . I rememebr Friday fish and Sunday soem beef . Buy clothe at a store and less online . Most people have become addicted to buying online , like a drug and not because they need anything. They buy , try it in and then send it back . Just that logistics alone cause a lot of pollution to our ecosystem. We all need to just take respnsibilty a bit for our Mother nature
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect for being an artist is : actually the look on people faces when they enjoy your performance.
and the fact they we contribute to people connecting to their feelings . Music , Film dance or visiual art paiting etc connect people to feelings . without feeling we are nothing more the A.I.
