We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jaylyn Left. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jaylyn below.
Hi Jaylyn, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
From the beginning, I knew I did not want to work for someone my entire life. However I didn’t know what I wanted to do, or what I was good at. I was definitely lost when it came to knowing what I wanted to invest my time into. To try and figure it out, I began many different hobbies. Through this process, I realized I was good at multiple things. Though these business ideas were not what I decided to do full time, each one took a lot of courage to start. Whether the job was selling my product, watching dogs, or cleaning/painting shoes, I had to put my self on the line. You have to hear 1,000 No’s before you get a yes sometimes and unfortunately it’s just the business.. I believe having enough pride in your work and the confidence to maintain it, is the biggest factor when taking a risk.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello, my name is Jaylyn Left and there are two important words that mean the absolute most to me. Those two words are self love and authenticity. In the entrepreneurial industry, 9/10 there is someone doing the same you’re doing. However, the goal is to make your idea and values stand out more then the next. I believe knowing my why is the biggest piece of information I can share. I call my brand authentic pressure due to the fact that no two people are alike. I provide lashes, sunglasses, jerseys, and many more to come. If everyone could look inside their self, the confidence they possess gives them a sense of feeling and no two feelings are the same. For example, someone may like something on someone else but not on themselves. The way I view this scenario is the individual doesn’t like it on them because they haven’t found out how to revamp the product/service to match them specifically. Learning to change the product/ service to accompany you whether than change yourself for the product shows how much confidence a individual possesses. This truly makes a person authentic. Staying true to themselves and realizing they are never the ones that have to change. The more confidence you have in yourself means the more pressure you apply in everything you do. Not just dress but with every step you take In your journey of life.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been personally delivering them. Not only is it good for business to make a profit, but the business is nothing without its loyal customers. For example, I allow personal drop offs. It allows the customer and I to get to know each other, and usually this makes them feel better about their purchase. They like my quality of products and myself as an individual, which makes them most likely to purchase from me again. Another thing I do is when I’m out in public, I’ll tell individuals about my products and give out free samples. Doing this not only brings back that same individual but 9/10, they usually also come back with a friend. It’s nice to hear people tell me they’ve shared my business with others because they loved my service or me as a person so so much.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Whether the client is new or old, I like to reach out to them and ask how they are enjoying the feedback and if there is any feedback they would like to share. Whether it be on the product, or anything that I can do better to make them feel more comfortable being apart of the authentic family. No one is perfect and I’m always open to hearing on more ways to improve my business and be better than I was the day before.
