We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaylon Pierce a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jaylon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

It was ten years ago this year, 2013. Thats when I decided to take producing serious.

Jaylon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Just Paid, a music producer, engineer, & musician. I’m from a small town outside of Memphis, Somerville, Tn. I began playing the piano at 12, then I started playing for my first church when I was 14. I started producing in high school but I started taking it serious in 2013. I’ve produced songs for major & independent artist out the such as Kevo Muney, Tink, Finesse 2tymes, Co Cash, & a plethora of others.
What sets me apart from others is my versatilely as a producer. With me being a musician and having a church background, I make a lot of different beats, genre wise and use live instrumentation. One of the things I’m most proud of is my ability to provide a different and orignal sound for the artist I have work with.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Yes, to inspire and impact as many people as possible in a positive way & just be able to provide a service or outlet to the ones who are trying to pursue a career as a music producer
