We were lucky to catch up with Jaylin Brokemond recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaylin , thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I first learned my creatively side at the age twelve. I liked to do YouTube videos and work on music. I would be around my dad who is music producer he would play beats and I would make lyrics to them.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My inspiration were Lil baby, Future, and my dad. As my dad being my producer he makes beats for me, Every since 7 I used to listen to beats that my dad make. I started free styling to them going crazy. Now getting deep into the industry my focus on music and entertainment is important because this is the career path I desire. Some challenges I had to overcome was dealing with hate and brutal comment’s. The dealings with staying on a Good pathway.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
How I built my social media audience started on YouTube I would do videos that included pranks or me telling a story I would post my music videos on my channel. I became a member LoudeGange and I was featured on RichBoyTroy “Falling For Troy” episode where most might seen and know me. I started my Instagram page and would post pictures of me at different places i would visit. On instagram, I liked posting pictures of me in new gear, and any new outfits an automatic post. What I learned and advice I would give is to be consistent if you’re trying to gain a following, make sure to pay attention to what people like and don’t like that tells you what to do more. Please check out my new single “Stack Up The Racks” featuring Selfmadeziair & Bmctavii.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The best thing about being an artist is seeing people’s reactions to the content or music you create if they support you that is motivation to keep working hard. I look at all the comments and the fire emoji symbols lol then I know I’m lit
