Jayd, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?

Jayd Cisneros Aka illijahbeats is an Artist/ producer DJ from Bakersfield CA by way of Los Angeles. He is an original bboy- Producer- Artist- DJ and is also known for his high level Finger-Drummimg performance . I started off dancing/ Break dancing as a kid when I was 5 years old. It was something that naturally struck me. By the influences of kung foo movies and Hiphop culture, it’s gotten me where I am today as an artist, and overall person. I’ve transcended the hiphop elements from dancing, and took an even deeper dive into music. I
have been featured on Apple Music with soulection radio.. Has opened of for live shows Such As Pak House (Anderson Pak festival) Coachella Festival (silent disco Stage) And was on tour with LCOOLJ and DJ Ztrip World tour.. I have DJ’d many events in Los Angeles and also have performed for a few artist such as Busta Rhymes, the root’s, missy elliot, Queen Latifah , tribe called quest and also have projects with Red Bull music. Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I started off dancing/ Break dancing as a kid when I was 5 years old. It was something that naturally struck me. The influences of kung foo movies and Hip-hop culture it’s gotten me where I am today as an artist and overall person. I’ve transcended the hip-hop elements from dancing and took an even deeper dive into music. I have been featured on Apple Music with soulection radio with JoeKay. He has opened off for live shows such as Pak House (Anderson Pak festival) and Coachella Festival (silent disco Stage). He was on tour with LCOOLJ and DJ Ztrip World tour. I have DJ’d many events in Los Angeles and have performed for a few artists such as Busta Rhymes, the Roots, Missy Elliot, Queen Latifah, and a tribe called Quest ETC. I also have projects with Red Bull music. I specialize in performing live Inside and out the studio. I am also a hip-hop educator for nonprofits such as JUICE HipHop, no easy props, hip-hop for change, and Jail Guitar Doors

I think what sets some apart is that I have crated a lane for myself, and it’s definitely been influential to others. It’s allowed me to curate different lanes. Break dancing, producing edits, DJing, Rhyming and rap, playing live drums and beat sets live, and teaching and passing on the knowledge to the next generation. Not just dabbling in it but taking all the above next level.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I started off posting content in my music in 2020 of the pandemic. I started making a little videos of me making music live and never thought anything of it but with the consistency and love I had from Music. I got great feedback in about 2023 my social media and following took a skyrocket And sent me the following that I have now which is up 40 K.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I think the most rewardng aspect of being a creative is making a career out of what I love, which is being a performer and artist plus being able to teach my talents and craft to the next generation with the knowledge and education that I have. I use my experiences, struggles, and my testimony to inspire everyone around me with my music and lead by example.
