We recently connected with Jay RECKLESS and have shared our conversation below.

Jay , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

My brother and sister died a month apart from each other two years ago and I lost myself after that. So I started streaming on an streaming app and within 7months I gained over 1000 followers and while I was streaming one day someone came into my stream and was telling me they are a talent agent and Movie producer from Hollywood and they want to reach out to me but I thought it was a joke or a scrammer, well after doing research on this person he happened to be legit, so I contacted him and he was telling me how he been coming to my streams for the last 3 months and just watched then he proceeded to tell me that I have a gift and I don’t even realize it and the way I talk to people no matter if its man, women, straight, gay, I would treat everyone the same and when people would be disrespectful that I would handle it in a professional manner and they i should start a talk show or podcast and interview people that he thinks I would be really successful. well here we are a year later and I’m an award winning host and my podcast was nominated for show of the year in the city of Houston.

Jay , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

When I decided to start my podcast I know I wanted to help people so I decided to interview small businesses, music artist, entrepreneurs, or anyone with an inspiring story to tell and in a year I interviewed over 116 people and that opened other doors for me like doing media coverage for music concerts and sport teams and I been able to put over 40 underground music artists on stage in the past year and for most of them it was the first time and im very proud of that, to see the reaction on their family and friends faces while they are on stage is an awesome feeling. I have a saying: IM LIVING MY DREAM LET ME HLEP YOU REACH YOURS.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Being consistent and putting out great content. I do three live interviews and eight music mixes a week and I believe doing live interviews and interacting with the people watching live is what built my reputation and makes my show unique.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

Listen to what your team has to say and remember your idea isn’t always the best one in the room and most importantly Don’t forget what the mission is about,
