We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jay Bradley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jay, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
8 years ago, I was invited to attend a small men’s Breathwork circle. I had no idea what to expect. So much shifted in that one session on all levels; physically, emotionally, and spiritually, that I knew I’d found the breakthrough I was searching for. After 30 years in the world of self help and personal development, having tried almost every modality, who knew that breathing was the very thing to shift everything!?
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I help people to permanently shift their lives!
I use Breathwork and other modalities to take people on a deep journey of self-discovery. Whether it’s in a private, group, corporate, or a couple’s session, the combination of deep breathing, music, and guided meditation works when nothing else does.
I know first hand what it’s like to experience long term struggle, and I also understand what it’s like to lose hope.
Personally, I have learned to release so much heaviness, depression, and trauma that was stored inside of me and it’s the biggest honor I know, to help others do the same. Whether it’s addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, heartache, physical ailments, lack of self-worth, loneliness, or just a feeling of numbness or apathy, what I offer works!
I’ve created the ChakraBalms® which are hand-blended essential oil Balms that get applied to your 7 main energy points to help ignite your Chakras!
I founded BreatheOnIt® to not only work with private clients, and groups, but also to offer Breathwork certification courses for those looking to incorporate Breathwork into their lives and businesses.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I believe that we must walk the walk in order to authentically serve. I can relate to my client’s struggles because I too, have experienced many hardships. I think my sense of empathy and understanding is a big strength in what I offer and normalizing peoples difficulties is something that I make a part of my practice.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what helped me to build a positive reputation is my commitment to practicing what I preach. I use the tools that I share to help myself regularly. I also believe that consistency is the key to success and growth and I do my best to remain consistent with my messaging and work. I also hope that others find me genuine and heart-centered, and I believe that always makes for a lasting impression.
