We were lucky to catch up with Jay Blaze & Vanessa Braun recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jay Blaze &, appreciate you joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
With our brand, Mr & Mrs Global, we aim to create content that resonates internationally, connecting with audiences worldwide. While Los Angeles is our home base, we’ve streamlined our personal lives to stay ready for travel or relocation whenever an exciting opportunity arises. This setup allows us to dedicate ourselves fully to our business and stay agile in today’s fast-paced world.
Take our podcast, for example. It’s entirely mobile, and we can perfect the sound and lighting with AI technology no matter where we’re filming. This means we can shoot episodes from virtually anywhere or even travel to meet our podcast guests instead of asking them to come to us. We’ve also become pros at travel hacking—using points and travel programs to our advantage. Recently, we got Frontier Airlines flight passes that allow us unlimited travel across the U.S., Mexico, Jamaica, and more, with only tax fees to cover.
This flexibility is not just about seeing new places; it’s part of our commitment to bring Mr & Mrs Global to life by creating content wherever inspiration takes us.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We’re Jay Blaze and Vanessa, the dynamic duo behind Mr. and Mrs. Global. Our journey began with a passion for exploring cross-cultural experiences, travel, and food exploration while embracing the diversity of relationships across the world. We found that by sharing these authentic and sometimes unconventional experiences, we could create a platform that resonates with people on a deeper level, helping them connect with different cultures, ideas, and personal stories.
We got into this industry with the intention of breaking down barriers and showing how love, travel, and food can transcend cultural differences. Our content is vibrant and bold, mixing engaging storytelling with valuable insights, whether it’s about relationship dynamics or discovering unique culinary experiences. Over time, we’ve built a strong community that enjoys the relatability and authenticity of what we share.
What We Provide:
Content Creation: We produce diverse content ranging from YouTube videos to podcasts, with topics centered around relationships, travel, and cross-cultural experiences.
Ebooks & Educational Content: Our most recent product is an ebook titled “How To Attract The Right Partner,” designed to help single individuals navigate the often challenging world of modern dating. It’s geared toward 18-44-year-old singles who are looking to improve their relationships and find genuine connections.
Music & Entertainment: In addition to lifestyle content, Jay Blaze produces music, with his latest music video “Not For Nothing” being a reflection of his artistic journey.
What Sets Us Apart:
We believe what makes us unique is our honest approach to culture and relationships. We are a multicultural couple, so our insights come from lived experience, not theory. Our audience knows that when they come to our channel, they’re going to get real, unfiltered conversations about the highs and lows of relationships, the nuances of dating across cultural boundaries, and the rich, diverse flavors of life that we discover through travel and food.
We also work hard to balance content between what our audience loves and what supports us financially. For example, India has been one of our biggest audiences because of their love for our food content, but we also focus on content that generates higher CPM from American viewers to keep our business sustainable.
Proud Achievements:
We’re most proud of the impact we’ve made on people’s lives. We’ve helped many of our followers find love or heal from past relationships, and our channel has been a safe space for exploring new ideas. Our podcast, especially episodes like “What It’s Like to Date a Black Man in 2024,” has sparked important conversations. We’ve sold lots of copies of our ebook, and we’re continually refining our approach to reach our goal of selling 5,000 ebooks in a month.
Key Things for Clients & Followers:
For potential clients, brands, and followers, it’s important to know that we value authenticity. We want to inspire connection, not just through the fun and beautiful moments but also through the challenges that come with relationships and cultural differences. Our content aims to evoke emotions and start conversations, and we’re always striving to offer value—whether it’s through entertainment, education, or inspiration.
With us, you’ll always get raw and real experiences, backed by years of knowledge in cross-cultural relationships, travel, and a deep love for food and storytelling.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
We decided to share our story online after realizing how often people would ask about our love story and how we managed to move together from different continents. It made us think, if this many people are curious, how many more can we help believe in love? That’s when we created Mr and Mrs Global, telling our story on social media and sharing humorous couple comedy reels about being a German/American interracial couple. In our first year, we filmed 1,000+ videos and later transitioned to launching a podcast as well.
For anyone starting to build their social media presence, here’s our advice:
Take it seriously: If you want to grow, treat your content like it’s your job.
Don’t worry about what others think: Whether it’s friends, family, or strangers, focus on your goals and not on judgment.
Surround yourself with supportive people: Keep those who uplift and encourage you in your circle.
Be okay with imperfection: Your first videos might not be perfect, but this is your time to practice, learn, and improve.
Stay consistent: Consistency is key—regular posting helps you build an engaged audience. Keep creating and showing up!

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
One of our proudest moments was getting featured on a billboard in New York and on Sunset Boulevard with YouTube—an achievement that felt like a dream. But it wasn’t an easy journey, and it involved a lot of hard choices along the way.
As we were growing, we started getting approached by brands for collaborations. The offers were exciting because they provided a boost financially, but many of these brands were smaller or didn’t align perfectly with the vision we had for Mr and Mrs Global. Turning down these deals was tough; the money was tempting, Especially in the early stages when every opportunity felt like a chance to move forward. However, we knew that if we accepted deals just for the paycheck, it could dilute our brand and take us away from the content we wanted to create.
We kept our focus, only taking on partnerships that truly resonated with our mission. At times, it felt like a risk. We wondered if we were letting valuable chances slip by. But then, out of nowhere, YouTube reached out, and everything changed. When they asked us to be part of a campaign, we were thrilled beyond words. The moment we saw ourselves up there on those iconic billboards was surreal. All the hard decisions, the sacrifices, and the “what ifs” made that moment even more rewarding.
It taught us a powerful lesson about staying true to our brand. Now, when we think back to that experience, it’s a reminder of how important it is to stay patient, trust your vision, and know that the right opportunities will come.
