We were lucky to catch up with Jay Benzo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jay thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I learned what to do by learning online on my own and also working with my team on music which taught me a lot. My opinion the most essential skills to have in music is being able to produce and mix and master your own music. Only obstacles that stood in my way was myself by not being as consistent

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into the craft as a hobby but worked with a couple major producers and an A&R to learn how to perfect my craft and to be my own boss. What sets me apart from others is how unique and creative I am. When it comes to music I like to talk about topics I know other people feel but bigger artists don’t talk about. I am mostly proud of how much I actually impact my fans. I never thought it would hit fans so deep to be able to relate to them.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I feel like the most rewarding part of this is being able to relate to and connect with people.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience and fanbase by connecting with fans and asking them what they actually wanted to hear from me with my music and with me delivering gained a long term connection with them
