We were lucky to catch up with Javon Talley recently and have shared our conversation below.

Javon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

Growing up in big family in a small town has its challenges, and yes it’s what you think. Being one of the youngest of your siblings and many cousins leaves you to either follow what they are already did or try to step out on your own to be creative. However stepping out to be different only makes you a black sheep and I loved it. Many people called it cocky, arrogances and huge ego but I called it one of a kind. Since the age of seven i began to challenge the norms. Placing my self in experiences to grow me as a person. All of these life challenges mold me to be a natural leader and provider that am today. It allowed me to create competition everywhere I go so that my peers or enemies can grow as a person. It’s what lead me to create my business The Royal Falcon Brand, which ultimately lead to me creating a new Project call The Foundation. So what do I hope my legacy to be? I want to be remembered as the person who challenged the norms and made others want to be better, which ultimately raise they levels of achievement.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

From my previous articles I talked about the Royal Falcon Brand. Which has been successfully running as a lifestyle management company for the past five years. From Podcasting, community service, music production, personal training and custom merchandising; we have become a beacon of inspiration and love throughout our community. The success from the Royal Falcon Brand has lead us to create a new division which is called The Foundation. The Foundation is an organization that was founded on four principles. Brotherhood, resilience, unity and hustle. Those four cornerstones created the mission to build stronger men through our programs and partnerships with likeminded organizations. We believe that by teaching men the skills they need to be successful in all areas of their lives, we can make a positive impact on society. The foundation is an exclusive organization, however all creeds, colors, sexual orientation, religion etc are all welcome to join our family and become a cornerstone in making a difference.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

In life I have learned you never force things to happen. Putting positive energy out into the world only brings it back to you in an abundance. For three years I wanted to start The Foundation but the timing was never right. I am a strong advocator for mental health and speaking your truth. But sometimes the advocators are the ones that needs help too. During a time when I felt like my voice was being tossed in a soundless room, small reminders kept popping to me. Those small reminders came in forms as the co-founders of The Foundation. Davonte Polite, Antwain Watson, John Jenkins & Delano Goff. These four men entered my life in different times and all affected me tremendously. Davonte Polite is my blood cousin and it wasn’t until recent years when our relationship grew and he reminded me family will always be there. John Jenkins is a child hood friend that showed me if you want to do something he is going to challenge me to prove him wrong. Antwain Watson, is a brother from another mother. Living parallel lives he showed me true character is build from lessons learned. And Delano Goff, a recent friendship that started over social media. He showed me a book is not it’s cover and you should not just read the back.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Consistency, authenticity and staying true to your mission. People see new business and ideas start all the time but they are more intrigued with the passion one has behind it.
