We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Javanni Miller. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Javanni below.
Javanni, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe that success takes hard work, dedication and some luck. You can do things perfectly but without some form of luck you may not see the success you want. An individual can do amazing things, but those amazing things can go unnoticed resulting in little to no success. Being successful isn’t easy but it is achievable.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a photographer/photo-editor/videographer/video editor from Kingston, Jamaica. I started photography in high school over a decade ago. I got into photography due to a love for memories and how photographs can seamlessly capture those memories forever. With a bit of luck, I got into photography. I offer photography services, so photoshoots, event photography, food photography, I specialize in portrait photography, I also offer video services as well. I think working together with my client and helping them see their ideal photoshoot and bringing it to life is what is important to me and sets me apart from others. I have done a few things that have made me proud in my media creation career. I want those seeing this to know that I work hard at what I do, and I love what I do. My aim is to capture memories that last a lifetime; creating images that you can love from now till forever.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
For me, the goal I want to achieve is to continue to grow as a creative and see myself doing bigger and better things. I grew up reading and going through magazines; seeing those beautiful photographs and seeing how well everything was put together. I definitely want to see my work in magazines, seeing my work transcend borders, seeing my work taking me to new places to capture the world and the people in ways that have never been done before.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is seeing the work you put into creating something coming out better than you expected. Seeing the hard work and dedication you put into the creation process come to life and it is almost breath taking. Knowing that you did this, you created this thing, and it is now out in the world, such an amazing feeling.
