We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Javani Austin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Javani, thanks for joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea

In the beginning, I was just trying to vlog my life, allow people to witness the experience of a 20 something Atlanta native going through life to the beat of her own drum. I knew what I wanted to do, own multiple businesses that were successful and of value to my community. I had no idea or clue how to make it a reality. I knew YouTube was never an overnight milllionaire story. The best stories could never be. Because anything worth having had to be worked for and appreciated. 5 months into youtube, it started to grow in was I had never imagined because of my personality and consistency. In front of a camera, I thrived. Behind the sciences was way more rock. I wasn’t an editor or videographer. I didn’t know how to start an LLC. I wasn’t familiar with what was required to start a business. I didn’t have the money to really even start a business as a single mother getting an undergraduate degree. But I knew what I wanted to accomplish and researched until I could confidently answer my own questions.

Greetings!! I am Queen Vanii, an Atlanta based wholistic healer and creator. I service my community through handcrafted herbal remedies such as intention oils, herbal teas, respiratory and yoni steams, as well as divination readings. As a creator, I allow my creativity to thrive through which ever medium brings me satisfaction, whether that be speaking, painting, crafting different project, drinks or clothing. I truly aspire to create and express myself however is most freeing to me. You never know what to expect as I continue to create and try new things. From the community, I attempt to offer wholistic healing that has been gifted down for many centuries to assist my community through growing through every situation, while using my creativity to speak my truth and experience in a way many may have not experienced before. The authenticity and individuality that I bring will always set me apart for everybody. I am most proud of myself for never giving up and continuing to outdo my best each year.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

GET OUT AND PEOPLE. The internet and social media can only do so much. Go adventure at networking events and places where likeminded people that you are developing yourself into are. Whether that be coworking space or power shoot or wherever. Increasing your network, increases your net worth in way you may never realize at first.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Every breathe I take illustrates my resilience. AT 27 years old, I have had a pretty traumatic story to get to this point. Unfortunate amounts of abuse, heartache and traumatic events that would keep anybody down bad. That would have anyone unable to see their greatness, power, or worth. But I walk tall and proud daily because I have learned that I have survived everyday thus far. Im on a winning streak. 27 years of surviving everyday and getting another 24 hours to make this work the world I am proud to live in by being the change that I want to see. So I purposefully make the most of each day and moment, whether it or I is perfect or not.
