We were lucky to catch up with Jason + Madison Schwind recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jason + Madison , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
When we first brainstormed Meraki Ways, we were interested is sharing our passions and filling a space that we felt was vacant in the retreat world. We could have never dreamed how rewarding it can be to assist humans in their path.
The relationships that are built and the connections that are made are as important as the journey we provide
Jason + Madison , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Jason and Madison have always been incredibly passionate about living a healthy lifestyle while being good to the planet. Yoga has always been part of their daily lives and they have decided to dive deeper into their practice by receiving their 200hr certification. As a couple, parents, and business owners they felt there was something missing and decided to birth Meraki Ways as an all-inclusive community for likeminded individuals. Throughout the years, they have taken steps to reduce their footprint and hope to share tips with others through gardening and composting. They have also explored alternative diets and have become vegan and gluten free (Madison has Celiac Disease).
In their spare time, they enjoy excursions into nature, soccer, biking, surfing, snowboarding, and taking walks with their tiny humans and pups.
As a couple, parents, and business owners Jason and Madison have found themselves searching for the escape, reset or retreat.
Your host have explored alternative vegan and gluten free diets (Madison has celiac disease), incorporated yoga, gardening, composting into their daily lives. The result has been daily body work, meal planning and food prep, excursions into nature to reset, surfing, meditation and walks with their little humans and pups.
With these experiences, and a desire to consistently shrink their footprint Meraki Ways was born.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
As humans we need to make the planet our priority and show that with how we live our lives. The physical and mental body can be trained, however we need to also work on training our habits. Through healthy and adventurous living we place a focal point on living 360 degrees with nature.
From our dietary and physical practices to gardening and composting we try to inspire each human to set goals and grow at their own pace.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
To introduce people to a simpler way of supporting the environment and planet as well as to grow as one human race.
