We were lucky to catch up with Jason Keys recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jason, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
So my company TriuneBeats, whom is owned by myself and my business partner Phlame classic we have been playing music together since we were 12 years old in church. He was the first drummer that ever accompanied me while I played the organ. After my release from Prison in 2016, my focus was on a reestablishing myself within the music community and increasing my skill sets. In 2018 we decided to form our company TriuneBeats, where are motto would become “helping Artists become the best version of themselves.” The concept of 1+1 equals three became the base and philosophy behind the name of triune beats. We saw a need of Artist development within the local music community and decided that would be our focal point

Jason, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Let me start by placing my bio… JayKeys is an independent owner of #OrganicMusic/ a freelance Musician/Producer/ Rapper and co owner with Phlame Classic @TriuneBeats.
Born in the 80’s and raised in Tampa Florida, at 41 this Son of a Preacherman has played the organ piano & drums in church since the age of 13.
Since then music has always been a passion for him. He made Beats exclusively for Smalltown records for 10 years before becoming an independent owner of Organic Music.
As for today with 30 years of music experience he continues to produce and teach numerous forms and genres of music using Pre Sonus Studio 1 & Pro tools, as well as music theory & artist development.
His commitment and dedication to music is unmatched, and he hopes to preserve it for generations to come.
I’ve always understood how to speak to the human condition, that is one thing my father as a pastor taught me was empathy.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being “Real”. We are living in a world today that is governed by a lot of false hoods people that will sell dreams and lies in order to get ahead for selfish ambitions. I stand on the fact that my level of honesty will always deliver the best results for every situation. Although sometimes that honesty can come across harsh, it’s always came from a positive place that allows clients the space to receive the information and apply the solutions in order to see immediate results.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In 2011 I was sentenced to 8 to 20 years in prison. But while in that situation, I knew this would not be the end of Jay Keys and his musical journey. I lost everything I lost my home my car, my family, my clothes. Everything I owned was gone. But I told myself while in myself, this would not be the end of me and so I begin to devise a plan and write down every detail of every goal. I wanted to accomplish once I was parole and finally free. For seven years after I got out of prison, I worked as a quality technician for a manufacturing company Who recently let me go. I saw this as an opportunity to take all the plans and goals. I had been setting up while in prison and now at the job. I knew this was go time. I knew the universe and God was telling me everything that I’ve been planning was getting ready to be set in motion. And all I had to do was excute!
